We visited a couple of weekends ago when visiting Portland. Made reservations because it was a rainy day and weren't sure if one was needed. It was not as the restaurant was empty when we arrived. The hostess who greeted us was incredibly rude. As soon as we approached the front pedestal we were informed that there would be a wait. I stated that we had a reservation. She replied that there would still be a wait. It seemed rather odd because there were literally only two other tables with guests. But whatever. We waited a short 15 minutes to be sat. Once we were sat at our table, we waited another 10 minutes before our server arrived. That was only because another server had to make our server aware that we were seated. Our server approached the table and promptly informed us that they only had one chef on duty so our order may take a while. At that point we chose to leave. We had already spent 40 minutes in the restaurant and not one moment of it was pleasant. Will never return.

Great Italian food and good friendly service. The Tiramisu is to die for. I must say I have been going to this place a lot but yesterday I had a bad dish. I ordered pasta with meatballs. The dish came looking good, I got some fresh cheese on it. To my surprise the meatballs were just warm not hot, the inside was actually cold. Very disappointed cause spaghetti with meatballs is my favorite. I hope this was just a one time mistake I will try again but if they still can't make it right I am done with this place. I have been going since 2002 and this is the first time this happened to me.

Our waitress, Danielle was extremely slow & inattentive. Our food was okay except for the burnt chicken in my chicken parmesan entree. We wanted to take our daughters out for a special dinner after their dance recital & it was extremely disappointing. We will not be returning.

On May 31, 2023, I called to get some info and advice before ordering and Heather was amazing and very helpful best experience ever and I really appreciated that she has actually had the food and not just saying it was good. I appreciated her honesty and genuinely friendly personality definitely made an amazing impression on me and ended up placing a good size order from Macaroni Grill because of how helpful HEATHER was to me and how patient and resourceful she was. She took the time to put in extra effort to make sure all my questions were answered to completion and that I was fully satisfied and that my order made it through correctly and even took my substitution requests over the phone so that my food can be as enjoyable as possible. Heather definitely should get a huge raise and recognition for her hard work and amazing effort to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied. Thank you so much Heather. I look forward to meeting you in person someday you are absolutely amazing :)

We all enjoyed an old school, really delicious, Italian meal. The booths could be more comfortable with new cushioning but everything else was great. Waitstaff are friendly and professional.

We took Mom here for Mother's Day and expected it to be busy, and it was! After we were seated we waited just over 15 minutes for the waitress to come over and introduce herself. The manager did stop by twice to see if anyone had come by. So, I am chalking it up to a mix up or misunderstanding with the table assignment to the waitress, perhaps. But once we met Danielle things started flowing, drinks were brought out promptly. My mom and my SIL loved their wine. Then came the bread. The bread! THE BREAD! Yes, it is worth the reservation alone. But, then came another long delay with our meals. The waitress did stop by and say they got slammed with a large quantity of take out orders. Hmm... don't sit down customers have a priority over delivery? Maybe not anymore. But, once we did get our meals ( a lasagna, a chicken parmesan, the mushroon ravioli, and a bibb and blue salad with grilled shrimp) it made the wait much more palatable. Every bite was delicious and not a drop was left behind! Adding this restaurant to my weekly night out splurge.

It was our last try of an old time favorite. The service is less than satisfactory. They try, but lack training and understanding of basic service details. The food was good, yet sat in the service window for quite a few minutes so was luke warm. I realize that staffing is difficult, but even the shift supervisor seemed lost in what should be her priority. Unfortunately, Macaroni Grill is a dining dinosaur.
The food was excellent, Liv was GREAT! her timing with our drinks, salad and food was perfect Stuffed mushrooms, Caesar salad (would've loved anchovies ),Ricotta meatballs and butternut squash were all excellent We walked right in with reservations on OpenTable

I came here for a birthday party, about 9 people. The food was not very good but the lobster bisque was really good! I did have a hair in my salad, which they did not charge me for but still disgusting. I didn't want another cesar salad because the dressing was very watery. Our waitress was nice and friendly but not efficient and very forgetful, we had to wait quite a while a few times for her. My first time here and I'm trying to to be to critical but it's not a place I would try again. I hope other people have a better experience than we did.

So disappointed! The food prices aren’t that cheap and for a $27 fettuccine Alfredo that looks and taste so dried. As you can see on the picture my food had no sauce….

Awful service. The host was very rude. We were told we needed a reservation. We made a reservation. We were then told that we'd have to wait beyond our reservation time, that they'd speak to a manager to get our time pushed back. I explained that I didn't want our time pushed back. After arguing for 5 mins, we left. I will never return here. Don't waste your time, especially with hungry kids.

We had to wait despite a reservation, wait to order, and wait for our food. 3 people from our table ordered the same dish but they all came out looking differently and with different quantity. Our waitress was very kind and was trying her best despite being understaffed. the bathroom was horrendous with sticky floors and rolls of toilette paper on the floor. Reminded me of a bathroom at a bar at closing time!
