The Jewel of India is a locally owned non chain restaurant. They do a great job with friendly service and serving really amazing food. The staff does a great job of describing the menu and making sure your not getting a hot dish if your palette can't take it, buuut they will also kick up the heat if that's what u like. If your in waterville check this place out. It's well worth the stop.Dietary restrictions: Even though the menu doesn't say it they have lots of gluten free options. So ask your server about that.

Hands down, the absolute BEST food. So yummy!! I got the vegetarian Bombay Masala that is so crazy good. And the Aloo Naan is delicious ! I am not local but if I was, I would come here every week. If you are in downtown Waterville, do not miss out!

Best mango lassi in the state I love it. My girlfriend and I love their curry chicken and chicken biryani as well. The girl up front does basically everything by herself from taking orders to busing and doing take out and she's very nice.

We love Jewel of India! We try to get takeout once a week from them because it's just that good! Always fresh and tasty, and the lady behind the counter is always nice! You can tell she does it all alone! Running the place, taking orders, serving customers and making drinks ALONE! Can't wait for my weekly curry tonight!

One of the best Punjabi food I ever had in the USA.Vegetarian options: The kashmiri malai kofta with spicy curry was especially to the point. Chef's Special Paneer tikka masala was also good.

Wonderful food all the food we ordered was made to order to our liking and service was exceptional.Very authentic Punjabi food, if you are looking for dhabha style Punjabi food you will find it here. They used desi ghee in all the cooking and food was out of this world especially in Maine.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Didn’t get half the food we ordered. Then they tried making us pay for it. Yelled at us before we left. The lady who served us was incredibly rude. Awful place. Awful people. Don’t waste your money here.
