Opa MIGHT have the highest end food in the area, at least equal to 18 Below and Amici's. Every time I go I end up having the Pikili (Bunch of pita and pickled vegetables with choice of 3 of 4 available dips). We substitute raw veggies because we don't like pickled, but my wife and I share this as our meal. I do always crave one of the great dishes but way too much food, but the Pikili is amazing. Last night was super busy, so service was mediocre, but young lady was super nice.Only negatives: BRUTALLY poor value on drinks. I like a nice IPA, and IPA's (my opinion) come in 16 oz. glass. Sometimes OPA serves in 16 oz., sometimes it's 12...14, whatever they happen to have...So now I have to specify. So I think it's a little "bush league" to give someone different amounts on different visits. One of the golden rules of restaurants: Consistency. (I PM'd them about this 2 visits ago, and thought they rectified it, but it happened again last night, so now I'm including it in my review) My wife's Margarita may or may not have had tequila in it. Neither of us could tell...and it was served in an old fashion glass. The other negative is that it's super noisy. I wear hearing aids which is part of the issue, but we go with friends, and I just sit and watch them have nice conversation and pass the time people watching. Conversation is not an option there unless the dining room is less than half full. And the front door placement means a cold blast every 90 seconds or so as people come in and out.But enough whining from me! HONESTLY, if you haven't been here, it's incredible. I've heard nothing but great things about the lamb and will try it next visit. I've had the dip platter, which I mentioned, then I've had the falafel and the gyro. ALL were incredible. Best I've had. This is the real deal.

Can't say enough great things about OPA! On a particularly busy Saturday before a show at the Waterville Opera House we managed to get seated at the bar. They do take reservations, but none were available when I called earlier that day. There were plenty of creative cocktails (I had a Shipwreck and the special Salted Watermelon Whiskey Sour- both were delicious). Even better, they have plenty of vegan friendly options that are clearly marked on the menu as well as gluten-free options if you need. We had the eggplant, dolmathes, and falafel all of which were beautifully presented and SO GOOD! That hummus, ? The portions were just right, not overwhelming. The bread comes with warmed oil and a few tasty olives as well. They even have a vegan and gluten-free dessert! Our experience at OPA was fantastic and all the staff was kind and welcoming even though it was very hectic. We will definitely return!

My brother has a nut allergy and our waitress went above and beyond by researching the spices and their origin to make sure they weren't processed or contains nuts. She really went above and beyond

Our 2nd trip to Opa in Waterville and it won’t be our last. Everything we have tried here has been fantastic. Our waitress remembered us from our first visit including which NFL team I (Mark) support. She gave us some great suggestions on dinner options, and she was right.Their avgolemono lemon sauce was amazing and my wife Tina wants it on everything. We look forward very much to returning for our next visit as this is one of our very favourite restaurants now.

Went there without a reservation and they were quick to accommodate us. They had tons of vegan options and the server was quick and so nice! She even substituted ice cream for vegan ice cream on the dessert. The food was amazing, a little expensive but definitely worth it. I'll be going back again soon!Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options and even a lot of vegan options which is usually hard to find. They were very accommodating!

Opa brings some incredible Greek food to Waterville. You'll want to make reservations here as it can fill up quickly. We've sat both upstairs and downstairs during our visits. The upstairs is somewhat louder with the downstairs being a quieter experience but both spots have great vibes and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend starting with one of their delicious cocktails. They have a very wide selection which should cater to anyone's tastes. Bread and olive oil is provided for the table, but you definitely need to get some pita and try some of the dips. I highly recommend the hummus and the spicy feta, but you can't go wrong with any of them. I appreciate that Opa's menu is clearly labeled with what is vegetarian and vegan. I've had the Melitzana twice now and both times it was incredible. The grilled eggplant pairs beautifully with the caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms and the delicious sauce. My wife really enjoyed the Greek Salad and the rest of our party loved their Gyro and Scallops. This has become a regular meeting spot when getting together with friends and I can't recommend them enough!Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan dishes!

Couldn't say more about how amazing our trip to Opa was!The table bread and oil was soft and perfectly seasoned, and we barely had to wait for our appetizers and meal!Expect more date night prices, but honestly it was well worth the price! Still drooling thinking of it, and can't wait to go back soon!
