“It’s 4am and I have one thing to get off of my chest. Frog and Turtle makes the BEST seafood chowder i have ever had the pleasure and honor of indulging in. I think about this chowder when i’m daydreaming in the shower, when i’m in the middle of life altering conversations, at weddings, at funerals, when i’m with my lover, when i’ve just eaten the most delectable treat; the thought plaguing the back of my mind… the one thing i know to be true…. is that no earthly pleasures will ever come close to the peace and satisfaction that this seafood chowder gives me. I’ve tried to make something remotely close so so many times to no avail, so i’ve come to the conclusion that a magical chowder fairy lives in frog and turtles kitchen and sprinkles its magic into this soup and whispers sweet nothings into the chefs ear while they prepare it, therefore there is no way anything could ever replicate that pure magic, and i am okay with that.“
“The food at Hunt and Alpine is always amazing and the cocktails are consistently the best I have had. Nothing on the drink menu jumping out at you? Tell them what you like and they will surprise you. We go there multiple times per trip and never get tired of it.“
“There was a twenty minute wait, which was expected. Our server, Laurie, had a full section, but was still really attentive and great at recommending GLB's specialities to me and my brother. Beer selection is great, wing and sandwich selection is huge. I had the PB & J bird sandwhich which was awesome and my brother had the salt and vinegar wings (which are whole drums and flats attached) and enjoyed them. Laurie then brought us a free sample of chili which was to die for!Vegetarian options: There is a whole section of vegetarian options ranging from mushroom burgers, salads, and other veggie sandwiches.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free drink and food options.Parking: Parking can be found on the street or beside the restaurant. Fills up fast.Kid-friendliness: Lots of space and a patient staff“
“This is based on my 1st and only experience at the restaurant so far, and I would definitely like to go back. The food was absolutely delicious, and there are so many more things I want to try from the menu. The only detractor as far as I can see at this point, is that the servers don't know the menu that well. Our server advocated for ordering wings (with multiple sauces) with the sauces on the side. Normally I don't think this would be an issue, but the salt N vinegar wings ended up being a tub of vinegar on the side.... that's pretty much useless!! An educated server would advise against such an order. Overall I would definitely go back, but I hope the kitchen staff has time to help the servers understand which dishes work certain ways, and how to guide customers accordingly.“
“This is a really beautiful bourbon bar located in the heart of downtown Portland. We the space isn't large but the atmosphere and styling create a really cool vibe. If you're a bourbon fan, they've got more varieties than some stores available for tasting. Don't skip a “
“I dont drink much, so I can't really comment on the bar stuff, but LFK serves up one of the best, if not the best, burger in town, it's thick and juicy, and YOU CAN ADD BACON OR AN EGG. I've had it several times, and it's consistently delicious.“
“First time visiting it was a friendly atmosphere. I ordered a Mai Tai and it was good a little strong but good. They had a great deal on daily meal, but I had already ate before getting there. They have a few video games and you can shoot pool if you like.“
