“When Red's has a line down the street (which is 90% of the time), going to Sprague's is a no brainer. Their food is incredibly reasonably priced and offers exactly what you would expect. The lobster dinner is truly a great price for what you get! I love sitting out on the deck and watching the seagulls on the water. The area also includes a very sweet little stand in which you can buy jams and other canned goods, as well as a small little building with some information on the history of the area. The staff is friendly and personable, and truly makes the atmosphere comfortable and authentically "Maine". It is truly family business -- the type that I love to support. Just know that it is cash/check only and there is an ATM on site.“

“One of those places that you run across, full of atmosphere and no doubt history, tied to the community and locale. In addtiona t breakfast, i bought a lb of fresh scallops that were just brought in. I cant wait to stop by again. Dont not stop when you pass by.“
“We had a delicious meal at Long Reach from drinks, starters, mains, a special and dessert!! Everyone was pleased with their choices. The view was lovely , even from the inside, and the outdoor area, weather permitting , is beautiful. Our server, Jacelyn was a delight! She gave us great recs and shared all the fun upcoming events that will be happening. Thanks Jacelyn! We can't wait to return!“
“They do need to get their website up and running. The decor is welcoming and charming-- it was crowded but not full when we were there, and it was pretty noisy, but not excessively so. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable-- although there are certain pieces that remind you that you are in a relatively new restaurant-- timing of food delivery, forgetting a drink order, a little over-stretched on service. We had a later reservation and we really felt rushed out the door. They should probably consider closing later than 8 p.m. so that the staff isn't racing around cleaning up by 7:45, even if they're no longer taking orders. Now, let's get to the important part. The food is really good. A fabulous addition to the area. The potato side for the filet is smoky and a great counterpoint to the meat, which was delicious. The steak frites was definitely delicious and a bargain. French fries were deemed excellent (a rarity for our French fry lover). The beet carpaccio was not as described on the menu, but a delicious combination of flavors all the same. The trout was perfectly prepared. We only had the ice cream for dessert, but the folks at the next table were raving about the sorbets and the tart. We did not ask about the options for vegans or people with food allergies such as gluten (celiac), dairy, or nuts. Several dishes are dusted with pistachio, so a super sensitive person might need to ask that the whole table forego any of those.“
“Chefs seeking to create within the context of #Maine Coastal Cuisine must respect entrenched expectations while at the same time seeking opportunities to introduce elements of surprise, and occasional open rebellion. Such is definitely the case at Blue, where the playfully inventive talent of Chef Esau Crosby brings unexpected twists to familiar Maine staples such as grilled swordfish and mignonette sauce. On a recent evening, the marinated & grilled swordfish was served with an inspired housemade ketchup based in retrieving the condiments’ pre-Heinz history, while the punchy & peppery mignonette offered fresh counterpoint, rather than drab camouflage, for a half dozen perfectly shucked and presented Robinhood Cove oysters. The music mix in the dining room offered a subtle clue to what was going on in the kitchen, offering an unusual (for Maine restaurants!) mix of jazz ballads from John Coltrane to Billie Holiday turning familiar tunes inside out, thereby making them new again. There was something both slightly sad and slyly humorous about seeing the same ole “Garden Salad" (yawn) listed as a daily "special", while from the regular seasonal menu we thoroughly enjoyed playful riffs on beet salad, here served as a colorful composition with pea shoots, cashews and shaved fennel; and in a second salad, baby greens were brought into perfect harmony with roasted local apples. The wine list was equally as playful. Yes, there were the inevitable California Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and Cab Savs (double yawn), yet we were pleasantly surprised by the presence of an excellent Loess Grüner Veltliner and a delightful Argiolas Armentino from Sardinia. With regret, we must report the one sour note for our otherwise memorable evening at Blue, and that is the clumsy performance of the two Grey Havens (triple yawn) Innkeepers, who would be better advised to let the excellent front-of-house staff do their thing unencumbered by their bossy & boorish attempts at conducting, sort of like like beginner tuba players barging into a jam session among seasoned pros. In sum, we will happily return to Blue for as long as Chef Crosby performs at the heart of the mix. As for the Inn, well, the front porch does offer a lovely view of coves and offshore islands. For us, that will be "Inn" enough!“
“Very nice place in the commercial part of town. They make their own beer, but I didn't try it.Quick, efficient and friendly service. The food is abundant, I suggest that if you are not very hungry, two people share a first and a second. The Fish & Fried Very successful; I recommend ordering it with sweet potato and not potato as is traditional. The hake is smooth, just right and with great flavour. Frying preserves its texture and does not take away from the fish. The meatloaf, perhaps a little bland, but the "gravy" rare for this type of meat, makes it a good dish. Finally we ordered "Mac and cheese" with buffalo chicken, it is a huge dish; impossible to finish it. The chicken sauce is very well combined with the macaroni cheese, which lacks flavor and creaminess.I would return daily until finishing their menu.“

“This is about as Maine as you can get. From the history of this restaurant to how it's presented, it's Maine. I'm very picky about my seafood since my grandparents are from Chebeague Island and I would get seafood literally 20 minutes out of the ocean, since their siblings were in the seafood industry. That being said, the seafood at this place was excellent, and very reasonable prices considering the current cost of quality seafood. The service was great, they had a very unique selection of drinks, dishes, and awesome specials listed throughout the week. Definitely want to go again!“

“Restaurant was quiet for Thursday lunch. Food was delicious. I had the pansit tagalog which had mixed meat over noodles and veggies. The sauce was light, more akin to thai than Chinese. The fortune cookie was a little stale, but I was super impressed with the pork ribs so that made up for it.“

“In town for a 3 day music festival and had a craving for seafood. Sorry I couldn't order everything at once. Had the haddock platter and a seafood chowder. I should have read the order taker better as I ordered clam chowder but they were out so I asked for the seafood chowder. They hesitated when I said it. The fish platter was great. Fresh and crispy. The chowder seemed to be the“

“Parking is limited but great for a Friday and Saturday night crowd. Restaurant is on the water so you get some really great views.Service was fantastic, the ladies there were super friendly and had such a great vibe, smiles and good all around happiness! Very nice to have when dining out.My husband and I ordered the seafood platter and the 3 course meal (Italian theme) which is called Passport To Flavor. I highly recommend that! * Ask wait staff for menuFood came out fast, hot and delicious. The appetizer was very tasty and great for sharing. The shrimp alfredo was super scrumptious! The alfredo was thick, creamy and had a beautiful flavor. The shrimp was tossed in some kind of lemon with herbs and it went well with my meal. The seafood platter was also very tasty and the fried batter was perfect; not too soggy, not too breaded, not too burnt, just right. We finished off with pistachio cannoli's and that was soooo good!I recommend coming here for a great meal, great views and a night of fun with some friends!“

“I had dinner at this restaurant while visiting Wiscasset over the weekend on a recommendation from family who lives locally, we actually went twice!! So safe to say we were fans! The decor and surroundings themselves were so homey and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, I am dreaming about the Haddock sandwich still! Truly the only complaint was the size of the salads which a few members of our party ordered was slightly disappointing. But they said that the flavor was fantastic and the shrimp they added was big and delicious! We also had the crème brûlée for dessert which I am also still dreaming of and probably will be for a while!! The service was fantastic, we absolutely loved our waitress! The whole atmosphere was wonderful; and I am sure we will be back next time we are in town visiting!!“
