The porch was open for dining with the canvas walls keeping out the wind. The dining room was chilly and the music was loud. We ordered bang bang broccoli. 3 large heads of apparently steamed broccoli came out with a dipping sauce for a mere $15. I've had bang bang many times and this wasn't even close. The rest of the meal was fine and the service adequate. Disappointed.

I stopped in with some family on a drizzly November Saturday evening. Because it was off-season, and likely due to the weather, we were seated immediately, but I imagine that there would probably be a long wait to be seated during peak season. The menu is pretty standard American/New England dining fare. We ordered a bunch of different menu items, but I think the one that stood out to us all was the peanut-crusted chicken wings. Everything else was fine. It's really all about the location when dining here, anyways. You are quite literally across the street from the beach. It's worth dining here for the beautiful views. The staff is very attentive and on top of it. Several different staff members checked on our table regularly to see if we needed anything. Stones Throw was definitely worth the stop.

We ended up here as a member of our group was allergic to poinsettias and they did not have them. Our first visit and the food was great and service was excellent. Had a great meal and time

We have been to the restaurant many times, but this was our first time at the hotel. We did a one night couples get away and could not have been happier. The rooms are lovely, clean, and have wonderful personal touches. The location can not be beat, sound of ocean waves all night. We were able to just walk downstairs and have an amazing meal! We will definitely be back!

Love this spot - have only been to the restaurant, not the hotel. Bar is beautiful with great vibes/music/decor. Cocktails are delicious, even a bit better than the food. Right across from the ocean so the location is great too!

We happen to be driving by on 11/5/23 in the early evening and saw that they had tables outside facing the beach with fire pits at the tables. We only stopped for drinks but had a great time and our waiter was very attentive and personable. Would def go back again to try their menu.

We did not stay in the hotel, but ate at the restaurant. My lobster roll was the best! Perfectly toasted roll and lobster bound ever so slightly with mayo.My husband's burger was cooked exactly as he likes it. The freshly made fries--made with Maine potatoes, of course--were just amazing!Stones Throw is our new must-stop whenever we are on York!

This is a smaller hotel with a local feel. Right on the beach at York, Maine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our reservation for 3 days had an error and we had to move from the second floor to the 3rd floor for the third day. Since there was no elevator, the staff was very kind to assist us in moving our belongings. This hotel is VERY eco conscious. The hotel is older, rooms are small and walls are thin; however, it was very clean. We had a balcony with table and chairs with a view of the ocean.

Several gluten-free choices on the menu. The gluten-free chicken wings with spicy peanut sauce are very tasty. The lobster roll (not GF) was also good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location on Long Sands has beautiful views and was not too crowded on a Sunday in late October, but must be very busy during the summer. The meals we got were excellent and I recommend Stones Throw.

This is for the restaurant. Absolutely amazing meal. As a person who tends to pick the restaurant by the bread they offer, the supper rolls alone would have me come back. The chicken wings are incredibly tender. The burger was quality meat, bun and nice green lettuce. The steak and lobster was perfect. Put some of the lobster on the supper rolls and had a lobster roll too. You get plenty of lobster and three pieces of the most tender and flavorful steak you can get.Service was great, as was the view.

I wanted to like staying here. We’ve stayed here in the past and honestly it’s not worth it. We’ve been in the building over the restaurant both times we’ve stayed. First the stairs up to these rooms are narrow and steep. It’s rough to get up them even without luggage. Next the bathroom is small with the toilet paper dispenser inside a cabinet. The shower head is small and high pressure to compensate for the small size. The tub drain is always slow. Then there’s the thin walls and floors. You can hear the neighbours both next to you and above you. And don’t forget the added sound and music from the restaurant downstairs! This 2nd time we stayed we were also given the wrong room keys and had to go back to the desk. The last straw was being accosted in the parking area by another guest about “assigned” parking spaces. Which then turned into being accosted about parking by one the hotel staff, who never even identified themselves. She immediately had an attitude when she approached us, didn’t know who we were despite having the room/parking list right in front of her with our plate number, and even after looking us up she didn’t know how long we were booked to stay. We were never told anything about assigned parking by the check-in desk either of the times we stayed. It wasn’t until after a couple days into our 2nd stay that our parking was suddenly an issue. It was always just small cars park in the covered spots. For how much we are paying to stay in one of the ocean front balcony rooms the least they could do is “assign” us one of the covered parking spots. The most annoying part is they give you parking hang tags for your car, why don’t they just write the room parking spot on the tag?Walkability: Right across the street from the beach.
