Comet Coffee is one of the BEST cafés in the Ann Arbor area. They have a very cozy location in Nichol's Arcade, and consistently offer high-quality coffee that makes you want more. As a student at UofM I will be frequenting it whenever I need a coffee near State St.This time I got an earl grey tea latte (9/10, the milk was a little too foamy, but it tasted subtle and sweet, enhanced by a little simple syrup) and their seasonal special, the maple star anise latte (10/10, the flavor combination created a caramel-like texture, the milk was perfectly hot and textured well, and the espresso tasted like it was dialled-in that day).The only improvement that needs to be made is that the front door handle is loose and finnicky.

Been coming here since they opened in 2009. Great location in the historic Nickels Arcade (similar ambience to the gallerias you see in Europe). Outstanding espresso & pastry offerings. However since the store footprint is very small, seating options can sometimes be challenging during peak times.

This coffee shop has some kind of mystic water that works with any basic pour over technique. The mystic water brings out the nuttiness with long lasting fruity sweetness at the end, instead of the common smoky bitterness with short finishes. Their use of consistent and reliable roasters including Brandywine, 49 Parallel, George Howell, and Ritual is also a plus. Besides good water, their effort to use natural and organic ingredients is respectable. Just try their chocolate drinks or seasonal latte. On top of that, they also offer free sparkling water made in house. However, it’s probably tap water. Lastly, the vibes make you feel like you’re at home.

A small cafe with the best coffee. Hands down the best, most true-to-Italy cappuccinos and lattes I’ve had in Ann Arbor. Staff is always super friendly. Cafe is small but well lit and warm.

I very much enjoyed coming here on my Ann Arbor Day it is such a cute mint little coffee shop.The coffee is really nice and I met Michigan university students there too.The staff is also friendly and they make great coffee hearts on your coffee.Overall this is so ticked away in nickels arcade but it is worth the search.

This cafe is a nice hole in the wall coffee shop. The atmostphere is very chill and doesnt give the vibe of a big chain cafe like Starbucks or Biggby. Its a great place if you just want a place to come and work/study or just for the quick pick me up. The baristas were very nice and made the experience good. My latte was nice and hot. It was very delicious. I would recommend this cafe to others.

I stumbled upon this place randomly and loved how small and quiet it was. However, it was hard to get a place to sit and I wasn't able to get the wifi to work. The coffee was good and I hope to go back at one point. The service was great and the workers were extremely kind and friendly.
