7 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Bellaire

Torch Lake Cellars Winery •
5245 Clam Lake Rd, Bellaire

“Wonderful, wonderful drinkery. Very memorable! Rare find. The offerings here are some of the best I’ve ever had. The Jonny cider, cherry limeade, and blueberry splash are my all-time favorites. If you like sweet drinks, this is the place to go to enjoy them. Take a howler to go! Friendly and punctual staff. Make sure to take a trip up the beautiful wooden winding staircase to the top tower for a spectacular view of the vineyards, Lake Bellaire, and to watch the golfers attempt to make a hole in one in one of the wine barrels for a prize. I can’t say enough about Torch Lake Cellars. I plan to make a stop each time I’m in the Traverse City area. I love this place!“

Short’s Beer Garden Bar • $$
118 N Bridge St, Bellaire

“I've been to Short's several times, but there was always a decent wait to get seated. Most of the time, we tucked our tails and went to another place in Bellaire or just got our food to go. Every time, we at least got a beer in the bar area adjoining the restaurant. The wait is real, but last night we waited it out and it was most definitely worth it. If a restaurant (and brew pub!) is that busy everytime you go then you know they're doing a lot of things right. The beer is arguably the best in a crowded scene of fantastic Michigan-based craft breweries. Endless selection of regular and seasonal beers and ciders... but the food is just as good. We got the Falling Out pizza and it might just be one of the best - if not the best - pizza I've ever had. Insanely tasty with pulled pork, bacon mixed in with BBQ sauce, jalapenos and maple sriracha. It has pineapple too. Don't let that bother you. The mix of heat, meat and sweet with the beer infused pizza crust will have me coming back for more the next time we bolt up to Schuss.“

“We like this cosy place. We enjoy this great kitchen. We are treated very well. We don't miss coming here to have a fine evening with Maggie and Taylor, and the other fine people. Our New Year's dinner was nice: Spinach salad, Lobster bisque, Short ribs, Beef Wellington, and desserts.“

King Orchards Pet Friendly • $$
4620 M-88, Central Lake - 9.57 miles

“We were driving from Mackinaw Island to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore when we stumbled upon King Orchards' road-side market and bakery. The orchard also offers U-pick berries and orchard fruits but we didn't have time on our travel day. My husband, who was driving, was most interested in getting a strong caffeinated coffee and a bakery item, while I mostly wanted to browse. We ended up being enticed by a table with fresh discounted bakery items -- including an apple pie and croissants. We relaxed with a delicious slice of pie at a table in front, along with coffee and an apple cider "icee" before continuing on our journey. The small shop was cozy and well laid out and the two women in the shop were very friendly.“

“My family and I had a wonderful time at torch lake cafe. The food was amazing, we were very happy with all of our selections. Our service was wonderful, I can’t remember our servers name but she did a great job. The entertainment was also awesome! The owner of the restaurant is the entertainment, I thought that was very cool. My sister has a 3 year old and he was dancing away in the front row.We will return to try more of the menu. There are limited restaurant options in this area, and it’s nice to know that this place is a total stand out.“
