“Chelsey makes the best martinis I’ve had in a while! I’m VERY picky with my martinis. When you pay $20 for a drink, you want it made perfectly. Chelsey was also our server. At first she took my martini order and had the bar make it. Then for my second, she made it herself. TOTALLY different drink than what was made the first time. Chelsey was an attentive server, great personality, and impeccable service. We bonded quickly and I told her when my boyfriend and I come back, we’re only requesting her.”

“Was my first time in Churchill’s yesterday, 03/28. Had no idea what to expect, never understood the purpose of the cigar. With that being said, I cannot wait to go back. Our waiter was great, the old fashioned was amazing and that cigar…now I get it!! So relaxing, great atmosphere and with a great tour guide who was also celebrating his birthday. That’s where he wanted to go, I’m sure glad he did!!! Highly recommend!”

“Omg I love love love love this place!!!! Whenever I’m in Birmingham I will never go to any other coffee shop. This is my new favorite coffee spot. Today was my first day trying it out and I felt like I left MI and was waiting in line in some cute little old town in Paris. My husband and I got honey cinnamon latte 10/10 and the croissant was so flaky and buttery my toddler ate the whole thing!! I can’t wait to go back and try more things!”

“If you have been fortunate and eaten gelato in Italy or Sicily this will not disappoint you.
You pay first and then you will choose your flavors. They have a very good variety. Order the 6 pack so you can share and try 6 varieties.
Prices are on par for real gelato. We paid $18 for the 6 varieties. I believe a cup is $9.
*3 stars for the cramped and sterile atmosphere. The room is too small. It is always busy and it is so tight that the chair backs touch each other. Also the plastic chairs don't glide on the floor. If you are sitting, you are in the way of those ordering and leaving.
Bring your patience in the evening, the wait can be long, but worth it. Savor the flavors of each bite and for a moment you too can be transported.”

“I've never had a bad experience here. The food always tastes fresh, the sushi is yum, and the vibe is chill. They have a great selection besides sushi too. I got some kind of spicy soup that was TASTY! Solid spot overall.”

“We had the best experience at Sal’s last week. We had a party of 7 for a family dinner, and called to make a reservation the day before. Adam was so helpful and made sure to accommodate us with a great table. He was very friendly and made sure that our family was taken care of. Once in the restaurant, our service was first class. I don’t remember our servers name, but she was attentive, sweet, and made our experience as good as possible.

I would recommend Sal’s to anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service. Get the chicken Francese, it was amazing!!”

I will say it was being ran by a group of very young people... room for improvement in service but not bad by any means. Atmosphere is attractive!”

“Our local place shut down. Had to bring wife to Birmingham for a surgery and wanted shawarma stopped in. Ordered beef shawarma sandwich, chicken shawarma sandwich, their falafel and Kibbee everything was amazing, fresh, tender. When we come back for follow up appointments will def be coming back to this place. Loved it.”

“This review is for the Royal Oak Roast only. The road is full of as*holes , the world going to sh*t more and more. The people in charge care not at all and we are on a very possible path to doom. Why not stop in at Royal Oak Roast? It’s a comfy place with great people watching. The coffee is wonderful and refills are a dollar. So many different coffee choices in all styles, including espresso over over Weiss vanilla ice cream!!! The kitchen, yes I said kitchen has scrumptious food that is presented beautifully with the seasonal selections. All this sound good? Well that’s not even the best part. It’s the staff. It’s a varied collection of kind, hard working people that make you feel welcomed and are always working hard to get your order out to you. “FIVE STAR RATING: We cannot praise Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse enough! We were seated at a cozy table and were greeted with the utmost, warm and friendly service. Our server, Sean, was amazing! He pointed out the menu’s recommendations, didn’t rush us, and personalized the order of when we’d like our choices brought out to the table. Every dish we ordered from appetizers to the complimentary Birthday dessert, was tremendous! We reserved a standard table in one of their dining rooms. However, even the bar area with high top tables would not disappoint. Don’t hesitate to make this a place to experience. They offer a great menu of salads, seafood, steaks, and be sure to ask about specials. They offer a vast wine menu and specialty drinks. We WILL be back! There is valet parking available if you’d choose that option.”
