This place is hit or miss. Food was really good but we ordered cosmos thinking they would be 12-14$ like the other drinks on the menu. We were shocked to find out we were charged 20$ each! That’s kinda insane. If you get a sandwich and two drinks that’s a 70$ lunch! Not good practice. Unless the waitress took it upon herself to request top of the line liquor. And my other friend got a bubbly drink and the waitress spilled it all over the table and didn’t offer to bring more napkins or clean it up. She said they put too much dry ice in it. Again, for the prices, they need to act more high end and redo the drink if it’s bubbling all over the table. We still had a great time, but more attention to these issues is warranted.

My friends and I had a bad experience at a restaurant nearby and 220 ended up being right next to it so we decided to give it a try. They brought us in right away no matter how late and busy they were. Our server Jackson, was so nice and fun and made sure we had a good time!

Celebrate a pre-Easter dinner with my family! We had a reservation for 6 people. Upon making our reservations, it was stressed to be seated all party must be in attendance, will only hold your reservation 5 minutes beyond scheduled time, one ticket only with an automatic 20% gratuity applied. We were 5 minutes early, they took us to our table immediately. Unfortunately, the table had not been serviced from previous guests. The hostess was embarrassed, but handled that situation quickly. She stepped away and came back with a cleaning crew and employees to set the table along with our waiter in tow.Bashir was composed and personable. He was an excellent waiter! The menu selections were not for the faint pockets. The meatball appetizer was good! The Filet Mignon, and NY Strip cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Zip sauce added the final seasoning to a well prepared steak. The salmon was served to my son’s liking. The Chicken Parm was really good! I sampled my husband’s meal. The margherita pizza was good per my daughter. The adult beverages were okay, the bartender needs less mixers and a shot more alcohol. The restaurant is too upscale to have watered down cocktails. Our dessert came recommended by Bashir. The Tres Leche was delicious! The restaurant wasn’t too busy during our meal time. By the time we were finished, the restaurant was packed!Parking: Paid parking structure directly beside the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is a tight squeeze, I recommend letting the staff know in advance so they can prepare a location.

The chicken parm was amazing! The mocktail selection was nice. The front area where we were seated was a little loud and although our server was nice he was very absent when we did need things. Will be going back to try more menu items!

Great service/vibe. Terrible food quality and wildly overpriced. Got the Wedge Salad and Shrimp Scampi Linguine. Both extremely low quality and expected much better for the high price point. Appetizers Tuna Tartare/Beet Burrata/Wings were all great but the main entrees were a disappointment

Last minute, I was tasked with finding the perfect place for our Easter brunch. Didn't matter that I was from Pennsylvania. Lol.I found 220 Merrill and they had 2 reservations left.Spoiler alert. Everything was perfect. The staff was professional and very warm. (We thanked them that they worked the Holiday so we could enjoy ours.)The food? AMAZING! Everything was well portioned and seasoned perfectly. The bacon, the crispy potatoes, the fluffy eggs and artisan toast, and don't get me started on the shareable red velvet pancakes with cream cheese glaze. And oh, the decor! Everything was perfect.Order the Fuzzy Bubbles, it was a delight in and of itself. Run, don't walk if you want the perfect memorable meal.

I love this place and have come for years. Great food and service. Right in downtown Birmingham. Dress well; don't look like a sob. It's pricy.

My friends and I visited here in warmer weather and we were able to sit out on the patio. It was cute and cozy! I started out with the oysters which were fresh and delicious. Sticking to the seafood theme, I went with the Birmingham salad, which had calamari, shrimp, avocado, and a light dressing. It was very filling! The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, and also knowledgeable about their menu, and able to accommodate my friend with a dairy allergy. I'd come back here again

Delicious brunch yesterday for a baby shower. The ambiance and space are nice and bright. The servers were on top of things and very helpful. The waffles were so crispy and delicious. I found the Benedict to be too salty and I couldn't finish it but the smashed potatoes are really good

Though I haven't been here for dinner in over 10 years, I always loved 220 and the menu looked great, so brought my husband and met my aunt & uncle for dinner on 3/9/24. Reception and bar service were excellent, but it was downhill from there. Unfortunately, and sadly, I won't return in the future. Food was good (salmon, filet) to poor (rubbery calamari, branzino - very spoiled fish tasting and brussels sprouts were barely cooked). Worst yet, our salads and entrees were brought out at the same time with the server claiming we told him to do that. We could barely fit the plates on the table and of course, dinner was not enjoyable. He did comp our salads as a good gesture which was appreciated. Rating the ambiance low since the tables and chairs are so close together, we had to move our table and chairs several times during our meal to accommodate newly arrived, neighboring diners. Rating value low as well due to poor food quality.
