“This was THE FIRST SUSHI BAR in Grand Rapids. Forget the others. They are trying to catch up. I grew up an hour from here but my folks would take me here frequently. Tony, the original owner, called me number 2 and I never took offense to it. My sister was born first and was number 1, yet I was the one the kept going here into my 40’s after starting in my teens. Personal touch, great chefs, kitchen and sushi, for years I’m taking. Best thing on the menu by far is the Boston roll. Order two for here and one to go. Then for here a sushi boat. Chirashi bowl is a close second. Get both. Tony, the man, is retiring but this is THE place for sushi in GR.“

“I always get the Tempanyaki Shrimp. If is fabulous. You get large portions of the rice and the yummy garlic noodles and s can get 2 meals out of this. I order an extra garlic noodles so I can have another meal too.The shrimp are grilled perfectly and you get 10 beautiful shrimpI get the side salad and it comes with their own dressing that is deliciousThe staff are so nice and helpful.“
