“I planned ahead and made a reservation in advance on 12/3 for Thursday 12/18 at 745pm for 3 people at The Viridian Room. We specifically made this reservation through their Instagram/Resy. My two friends and I show up, and not only is the Viridian Room closed, but so is French Toast, despite their hours stating the close at 9pm. I tried calling to no avail, and ended up going to another Clawson bar, Local, instead. We were so excited to try this place and extremely disappointed we were not able to attend. Attached below is the confirmation of my reservation.

Edit 1/16/26: The manager had reached out to me via text and was kind and apologetic. She offered to reschedule the reservation and provide a free appetizer. My friends and I went back last night and had wonderful drinks and a snack! The bartenders were very kind and prompt. We will definitely go back. Thank you for making things right!”

“Amazing atmosphere! also in the summer they open up the sliding doors (the whole front opens). The only down side is no food, but you can bring a meal in and eat/drink a nice cocktail. Also they have plenty of TVs to sports.”

The Matcha Latte and Raspberry Rose Yuzu are equally exceptional and perfect for a refreshing treat. The staff at White Wolf are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The female chef went above and beyond by offering us a sample of their delicious banana bread, which was a nice touch. It’s evident that everyone who works there is genuinely happy, and this joy is reflected in the quality of their products. If you’re looking for a place that combines unique Japanese flavors with top-notch service, White Wolf Japanese Patisserie is the place to go. Highly recommended!”

High five to Culver’s in Clawson

I was diagnosed with celiac disease at the end of July 2023, so it’s been three years. Because of cross contamination, I really don’t get takeout or go out to eat. I’ve been glutened so many times that it’s just not worth the pain. And the pain is severe when gluten’d which lasts for days and knocks you off your feet.

I follow an influencer who also has celiac disease, and every now and then she’ll go to a fast food restaurant. Last week she went to a Culver’s. I haven’t had Culver’s in over three years, but tonight I decided to give it a try.

I had memorized all of her questions, and I kid you not, I went to Culver’s and they went the distance. They took everything serious. They even wrote down “severe gluten allergy.” They have a dedicated fryer for their fries, which was so exciting. Then I ordered a burger that was cooked on a clean grill with no bread or anything else that had been on it, and they served it on a gluten free bun.

Here we are an hour later, knock on wood, and everything is great. I literally could cry happy tears.”

“The Hideout shocked me, i drove by for many years and figured it was a hole/little bar. When I walked in the interior was very nice. So the business end of the review, i had a cheeseburger with grilled onions and it was so darn good I was shocked. I came back the following night it was so good hoping they could replicate it, im not here for the drinks but the cheeseburger! Once again the chef comes through with a home run. Ill be back tomorrow or the next day, its that good and its of tremendous value, im not sure how they do it. The place is a gem!”
