“I have been turned off to Subway for several years because many of their locations are dirty, have old looking ingredients or the staff is not using hygienic practices.

We swung by here on a whim today and this was the cleanest subway I have ever seen. The staff were friendly and the ingredients all looked very fresh. I was happy to see bins packed with clean knives since most subways use the same disgusting knives all days and wipe them off on the edge of the counter which is repulsive. This place was a breath of fresh air, happy to see a place taking cleanliness and quality seriously!”

Overall, you get a lot of bang for your buck here…$25 got us a large pizza, a salad, and a good sized bread with garlic sauce. I liked the pizza! Crust was solid, pepperoni was good, nothing too crazy but on the nail for what we needed. The bread and garlic sauce were my fav,no question about that. Wouldn’t say it’s my go-to Friday night spot, but I’d come back once a month or so. Solid find. Staff was friendly & quick!”

“I've ordered carry-out from May Hong before and it's always been amazing. It's ready when I've walked through the door and piping hot, plus tasty. A personal favorite is the Sesame Chicken. Egg rolls are also delicious!

However, a friend and I decided to dine in two weekends ago. There may have been a rush before us that had just left, but there was only a single clean table available, and one staff person handling all the orders and cleaning.

We ordered, and I waited half an hour--no exaggeration--for a bubble tea. I decided to try something new that night, the honey chicken. No real taste of honey to be found. Stick with the Sesame or Sweet & Sour Chicken since you can't go wrong with those.

Also, the booths? A group of people left behind me and new people came in. Every time someone moves behind you, you can feel it and it's quite jarring when you're trying to eat.

The staff person we dealt with tried her hardest, and she was very, very nice, just severely overworked.

May Hong is still worth ordering from for the food, but keep it to carry-out. Dining in isn't the best experience.”

“First, let me say that if you have not been to Gnocchi Italian, you absolutely MUST GO! This place is amazing. A 10 out of 10! I've been to Italy several times, and Gnocchi Italian serves the absolute best gnocchi that I have ever tasted — even better than 80% of the restaurants in Rome. Everything is made from scratch; the gnocchi is made from ricotta, giving it an incredibly creamy and rich flavor. There are 45 varieties of gnocchi! I had the seafood gnocchi (scallops and jumbo shrimp in lobster sauce served over gnocchi). My companion ordered a breast of chicken over gnocchi smothered in alfredo sauce and topped with Muenster cheese. The proprietor, Chef Jeff, has run this place 8 years, and he is incredibly talented. Of course, they do serve other traditional Italian dishes besides gnocchi. They're all wonderful, from the spaghetti to the lasagna to the meatballs to the veal — everything is done to perfection. The portions are generous. Also, they have excellent red wines which are moderately priced. We ordered a bottle of Merlot. Finally, you will be amazed at their special house creamy garlic salad dressing, and.... the most delicious cream of wild mushroom soup I have ever tasted! If you see it on the menu you must order it, it was out-of-this-world delicious. Our thanks to Chef Jeff, for treating us to an amazing dining experience. You bet we will be back very soon!”

We are only in town for a few days, staying at a local hotel. We ordered a delivery through DoorDash and the driver never showed to pick up our order. I called and our sandwiches were sitting there “waiting”.

The young man that answered the phone Zach (sp) asked me to hold for a moment and then came back to the phone to say that an assistant manager (Avery)(sp) would be bringing our order to us. Wow !!! Excellent customer service!!

When she arrived she tried to help me with the refund process on my phone and after being on hold for awhile I decided to wait until morning to call ….

Then Baron (mgr maybe ?) called me to say he was going to refund my money because of the situation. Really ?? Another WOW !! This NEVER HAPPENS!!

This team went ABOVE AND BEYOND and even though the sandwiches had been sitting there, they were EXCELLENT!!

I did pay for a sandwich (that was only right).

Do yourself a favor and try them out if you haven’t already.

Locals were very welcoming to someone just wondering in and Annie and Di (the owner) were great with the service and had some good bar food ( not a very extensive menus but when you get a few drinks in you, who doesn’t want some fried cheese?).”

“Cheryl's Diggity Dogs is as American as it gets located in front of Lowe's, the biggest store in a strip mall on a section of Gratiot lined on either side with car dealerships. The hotdogs or polish sausages are great and you can get a pop and bag of chips for not much extra. One of my favorite places for a snack on my way home from work. Cheryl is very friendly, I'm not sure the name of the other employee but she is also nice. My only complaint is that the hours seem slightly irregular”

“My favorite sub is the Italian and Jersey Mike's is the BEST I've ever eaten. The meat is really high quality and the ham is especially very flavorful. The first time I ever got one, I was astonished at the amount of meat they put on them...I couldn't hardly bite into it, lol. I especially like that they cook their own roast beef right there and slice it as needed, as well as bake their own sub rolls...you can't get fresher than that!!!”

“I saw greens, and I HAD to pull in, I had had a very rough morning with doctors that were not understanding at all and I just needed a touch of southern comfort, not from a person that liked like me. I don't know if the incredibly beautiful woman that handed me these greens is the one that cooked them up, but I'm going to pretend in my head that she did, because I needed her soul her caring and her kindness to be in those greens....and it was. I am so grateful. They were so good, I pulled over and scarfed them down in the lot next door. Kinda made a mess, but could not have cared less. (Note to self: put bib in car🫣). I'll be back.”
