Hollywood casino/hotel offers the best downtown Detroit experience. The hotel is in a safe and convenient location near outdoor events, restaurants and a few shopping outlets. Hollywood casino/hotel rooms are modern, sanitized and comfortable and the staff is very professional.
We checked in on Saturday night. The ladies at the desk were very busy at about 4:30 but smiled & helped everyone to get checked in quickly. The room was on the 28th floor facing the city. It was clean. I was a housekeeping manager at Marriott when I lived in Florida so believe me I looked & it was top notch. Everything worked in the room. The casino reps are excellent for the most part, but the restaurants are over priced for the garbage they serve. Barstool served us a Barstool nachos that we asked for chicken (that tasted and looked like bologna) and extra cheese which wasn't even melted.
