I was in Detroit to visit family for a funeral. I ordered from here to feed a large group. Here's my issue: #1 had a large order, so I ordered online. Got there about thirty minutes later and still had to wait for them to drop chicken along with two other customers.#2 very rude!!! Before I even started dealing with the lady, I saw how rude she was to other customers.#3 finally got my order and only got half of my food. Pointed it out and still didn't receive all of the food. I had to literally take all of the food from the bag to show them that they were still missing items. The cashier instantly got an attitude and started saying something in another language. To which I told her a piece of my mind.Of course I won't be going back when I visit. But, to my black Detroit family, why do you keep patronizing this business when it's clear they care absolutely nothing about you as people. They want your money but to give you absolutely no respect. Stop going here. Detroit has too many good restaurants for the place to constantly get business.

I didn't go into this location, but a coworker did. He was adamant that it was great fried chicken. He ended up getting me to try one of the chicken strips, and I have to confess that it was absolutely fantastic fried chicken. If we are working in the area again, I will likely go in with him and place my own order next time.

so let’s first start with the wait in the dining area took me over 30 mins for one meal. i didn’t complain. then the dining area is filled with random ppl asking for change (while i’m at the counter mind you, so it’s not like the employees care to put them out) or just loitering. i didn’t complain. when i got a total of ten fries in my regular size fry, i didn’t complain. even when they gave me old chicken from the box warmer i didn’t complain i just asked for it to be replaced but the cherry that topped off the tirade of bad customer service is when i asked the man working the counter if i could use the restroom to wash my hands with my daughter and he told me that the restroom wasn’t open and gave me a cup filled with water to dip my hands in to wash them. are you for real? lol what in the savagery is that?? who does that? if you have a dining area you have to know people will have to use the bathroom after waiting 35mins + to get our food we were hungry and decided to eat in the lobby. at the very least people want to wash their hands!! if your bathroom is broke then have wet naps or hand sanitizer or don’t have seating for dine in. also it’s clear the owner doesn’t care about the complaints it’s a chicken spot in a black community lmao they only care about the money and respond to positive reviews not about a solution to the terrible customer service

I went there at 9:20 and waited for 5 minutes for someone to respond to acknowledge, asking hello several times. I left and came back around 60 seconds later. They had taken the people behind me but then told me they were closed- they close at 10 and it's not even 9:30.

Never give a business a second chance, it should have been correct the first time. If u mess it up once your mostly going to do it again. Terrible food, I was given day old chicken, heavy, oily flavor, and you could tell it was day old and cooked twice the outer skin was almost black, extremely crunchy but overcooked. I order (2) 3 pieces, and they gave me 2 legs and a wing in each. I was still hungry after eating. Tiniest pieces I've been served at Churches. Service was poor, repeated order at least 4 times before they got it. Plenty of staff, but not really doing anything to pay attention to the customer. Would not recommend. Check your food or request fresh chicken only. I think their oil is really old and they are not changing it regularly. Not good at all.

TERRIBLE customer service…..charged me for the wrong item, told me it wasn’t, didn’t even acknowledge the sign right behind her that said she was wrong. I wouldn suggested ANYONE go here. If you don’t like your job lady working the register get a new one. Piss poor attitude and demeanor.

Chicken was soggy and undercooked and they wouldn’t replace it bc “they all look and cook like that”. Asked for okra fried hard but not burnt and they gave us the most burnt okra they had. Biscuits tasted like they were left on a counter. Service wasn’t too bad but the food was unacceptable.
