AMAZING dessert shop, but don't sleep on the sandwiches! We ordered 18 sandwiches, fries, and a rum cake for a company holiday lunch. Cakes & Shakes came thru to the highest degree. Every sandwich was made with care. Ingredients were fresh and high quality. The Woodward Ave. had the best caramelized onions I have ever tasted. The friendly staff were a cherry on top of the experience. We will be back for sure!
Creatively, amazing desserts! Stop by for a visit if you want something deliciously different like a “cake shake”, a strawberry lemon pound cake or if you just want your favorite classic dessert like ice cream, banana pudding or the many flavors of cakes. The food was incredible. Very reasonably priced, especially considering everything was freshly made with quality ingredients. My corned beef sandwich was as good as any I have ever had and my husband said his sandwich was the best he had ever tasted. He said it was well worth the drive (we live 25 minutes away). The service was impeccable and you could see the owner took pride in the we establishment. I highly recommend!!!
