HIGHLY recommend stopping by. I happened upon it (visiting Detroit) on a rainy night, was pleasantly surprised by the hours, offerings, atmosphere, and the lovely staff. I returned maybe 4 more times over my trip, staff was always lovely. Highly recommend the iced Irish coffees and their drip coffee offerings were always stellar. The little cookies I got were phenomenal. I met the owner the last day and he was very jovial and enthusiastic, talked about the music and how they shift the vibes for Detroit's Opening Day. Thanks y'all!

Pro Tip: don’t expect too much from the bartender. But the beats are tasty and the little hidden booth is a great little gem if you need privacy or a seat with 4-6 friends. All in all cool spot but was let down by the service.

I was in town with a friend and he was showing me around to a few bars. This little bar is such a cool place! I don’t remember the bar tenders name but he was really nice to talk too. Very polite and knowledgeable of some drinks. Orange Jamison and tonic hit the spot here for a night cap! Can’t wait to stop back at the Spkrbox!!

I love this place. I know I don't always have a craving for coffee but if I do this is the place to go. It's a great place to just sit and have a cup of coffee and read a book. People are friendly and the atmosphere is really cool.
What a unique place. Since traveling to Norway I’ve found few spots in the US that does a great job with coffee AND cocktails, but this is certainly one of those places!

I know that everyone says that they are mean to you here, but honestly, the staff could not have been nicer.Super small space. Think of the smallest cafe you have been to in NYC, then cut it in half.There is an even smaller area upstairs, that has a DJ rig and some good street views.The Coffee was very strong, and they even brewed a single cup of decaf for a young lady who came in.They only had half & half, no cream was out.Tiny restroom is charming in its own weird way too.I'll have to come back and see if I can get them to berate me at night. I'll update my review if they do.Until then... highly recommended.
