“Pearle's is a must try if you are in the Elk Rapids area. Their Cajun cuisine is excellent! Be sure to try the collard greens, fried green tomatoes, and crawfish cakes for starters. The bronzed shrimp dinner is one of my favorites. The fried chicken salad rocks too.Their traditional Cajun favorites like jambalaya or ettoufe are authentic and very well done.Don't like spicy? Their pot roast and fried chicken dinners are anything but ordinary and second to none. There are po boys and muffalettas for less spicy choices too.They even have a spicy bloody Mary with a crawfish and stuffed jalapeno in it.The atmosphere is casual and upbeat. “We come to the area every summer and were tasked with procuring a Cherry Pie for the group. After a frantic search, we came across this gem and decided to take a detour to give it a try. We will definitely be back next year. We took home a cheery Pie, small rhubarb pie, fresh cherries, and cherry salsa (I was hungry). Every single thing was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised that the salsa had a tiny bit of heat and the faintest hint of cherry, it was great!“
