“on my drive home from work, i was having a really hard time deciding what i wanted for lunch today. this bbq truck had been set up at this local barber shop down the road, & i had seen them before and always thought to stop but was in a rush so i never could. the one week i finally had the time, they unfortunately werent there. time went on and i kinda forgot, but i ended up running into em today. sadly the spot is such a horrible place for service, so his card reader wasnt working. i was really bummed out because i was planning on trying them for so long but something always got in the way. he tried running my card to see if it would work for me but it didnt. instead of me taking a loss, this man ended up giving me the food for free! this isnt an announcement to go take advantage of this mans kindness and generosity, but the customer service here is so amazing which is something that makes you stand out from other food places. not only are they phenomenal people, their food is fantastic from what i’ve experienced! i got the brisket sandwich & i mean it with straight honesty, this is the most tender and juicy brisket that ive ever had. id also like to add, their bbq sauce is PERFECT. i recommend this place to anyone! i will be telling all of my friends & family. definitely going back & will be tipping very well! see you guys soon & well done! “I highly recommend you go to Scratch BBQ. You can thank me later. Friendly staff and atmosphere. I had ribs, greens ( that blew me away) and macaroni and cheese. Everything was very tasty and I liked the sauce available at the table. I can't wait to return.“

“Decent BBQ. It’s hard to find good consistent BBQ in Flint. Many are hit and miss. Some days you’ll go to one of the BBQ spots the BBQ Is good, then the next day it’s bad. Famous Dave's is good 85% to 90% of the time. I’ve dined in, had take-out and delivery. There’s been a few occasions where I had to let them know, I was not pleased with my Ribs and they always fixed the problem without hesitation, I like that about them, but majority of the time when I get their Ribs and sides it’s all good. I usually order a 1/2 or full slab of St Louis style ribs, baked beans with corn muffin and coleslaw. Haven’t tried very many of their other dishes.“
