I just read a review by someone who I'm assuming is not Polish,First, the dough made here is the closest to home made by any others that I've had. I am Polish and have had every one out there available. And their comment that Ms Tees are better should tell everyone that reads these reviews SOMETHING,,By the way, In today's market, the amount of salt is less than should be in everything,,I just add a heafty amount of course sea salt to the water when boiling to heat them, and problem solved,, and yes , we eat them boiled and buttered!!!And for pricing,, at 7.50 a dozen,, I'm assuming once again that they don't buy too many other brands because these are the cheapest around, including Ms Tees,Thank you Jennies for continuing a long Polish tradition for Christmas dinner,, that only you can provide,,,

Kept passing by on my way home from Costco and the bright red Pierogies written on the wall lured me in! I haven’t tried the bacon and cheese ones yet but the jalapeño and cheese were quite tasty. I am no pierogi expert, but having lived in metro Detroit for 40 years and having visited Hamtramack a few times I feel like I can taste a quality dumpling. These were quite good, right up there with Pietrzyk’s or Bozek’s. I don’t think they were overly flavorful but still extremely tasty. Boiled for 4 minutes and sautéed in butter and oil. A quick and easy dinner, and cheap, a serving size should be three(yes I ate 6). I would be interested in a poblano pepper variety if they take flavor suggestions!

There is something about the sauerkraut I absolutely love. Not sure how it’s prepared but I really like it. Nice selection of prepared foods to take home and heat up for a quick dinner. Pierogi are delicious, the dough is very tender, which is hard to accomplish when making large quantities.Highly recommend the sauerkraut and cabbage rolls.

Honestly after reading the reviews I thought they would taste better. It’s not that they’re nasty they’re just bland. I got the bacon and cheese pierogies there’s at most two very small pieces of bacon in each. Can’t say I’d recommend sadly. I sauté them in butter but if I did something wrong please let me know.

Best in the state, and great service

Lot of selection and tastes great. My favorite is the kraut and mushrooms. The only one that is funky in my opinion is the farmers cheese but other than that they are all pretty tasty.

To Hifihedgehog - you are very eloquent with your words and your mastery of the English language is impressive. However you need to check your facts. Thick dough? Ours is delicate and just one of our best qualities. You must have us confused with someone else. Lack of salt? Not OVER salting is not a lack of - you can't take out salt but you can always add. Seasoning is a personal preference - we provide customers with a quality base product to be finished at home - other than don't reboil, microwave or put ketchup on our pierogi there's no wrong way to prepare and eat them. Customers love to share with us how they finish them up at home: fry them up with butter (salted), onions, bacon (salty), pepper, garlic and whatever else to make them reminiscent of the comfort food they grew up on - we sell nostalgia without all the prep, work and cleanup. Don't taste like they did a decade ago? Hilarious as we're still using Jennie's OG recipe for 35+ years and haven't changed a thing (one of her daughter's still oversees quality - actually takes them back to family who say they still taste like grandma's. That's THREE generations in case you're counting). Outrageous pricing? You might want to check around - we are and always will be the best deal in town. If you're going to give backhanded compliments to other businesses in our review you should at least do them the courtesy of spelling their name correctly. It's Krzysiak's House in Bay City - give them a try! You might also check with Jolly Inn and ask them where they get their pierogi from (you'd be surprised how many people drive to us from Chicago and beyond just to get good pierogi not to mention we supply a couple of local restaurants). There's not a single small business that needs your advice - we've all survived a global pandemic - and your comments aren't helpful. If you and others are so concerned with the survival of small local business and truly wanted to "help", you'd contact the owner direct and have a conversation instead of taking your "concerns" to the internet and social media. Admonishing our customers who give us legitimate good reviews is unnecessary - they know the truth. It strikes me as peculiar that we constantly run out and have to keep restocking fresh made product weekly - I guess that's what happens when you're an in house from scratch kitchen. Participation trophy? My friend we are original GenXers - we EARN our good reviews every single day. So this is where we agree to disagree going our separate ways never to meet again. Enjoy your mass produced pierogi - we're just going to keep doing what we do.

Placed an order to go. Such a hidden gem this place. If you're a polish food lover like myself, then you're definitely going to fall in love with Jennies! The pierogies are so delicious! The stuff cabbage is just like momma used to make and the cabbage soup. It is out of this world! ? Sometimes, a whim will find you stumbling across a place like this. After losing my mom to ALS last year, the awesome polish food left with her. My dad, who's suffering from cancer, was really craving some polish food. I looked high and low to find somewhere that might have the goods. Thank heaven this place definitely does. It brought smiles and good memories back for him and the rest of us family. Sometimes, food can heal the soul in mysterious ways. Thank you, Jennies Pierogies for filling that spot.
