“The short of it? This place is great. Amazing staff. Delicious treats. Great cocoa/coffee/hot cider. And awesome selection of gifts. Can't wait to visit again. The long story- this place was so great that my mother in law left her wallet there just for an excuse to come back the next day 😂. Only half kidding. But she did forget her wallet. I got in touch with the owner. And they were so excited to see us the next day with hot cinnamon rolls ready for us. You guys are awesome!”

“The food is so very good. You HAVE to try the garlic/parmesan popcorn. They make pizza the way it is supposed to be made (delicious). The house brewed cream soda and root beer are great. The staff is amazing and friendly. I highly recommend this place. I am a true foodie and this place is going on my LIST!”

“Love this place, especially the breakfast meal options. My wife always gets the eggs benedict, but tried something new this time (Rich's Biscuits & Gravy). It was very tasty. I always tend to go for the Yooper Man's Breakfast with cheesy grits (which are always spot-on awesome)! Food arrives quickly and piping hot. Remember to order at the counter when you first walk in, and then choose your seat. You won't be disappointed with this place! We need to try the lunch the next time.”

“Love this place! The ice cream is delicious and is the main reason for an overnight in Grand Marais on our way downstate. There are some other UP towns where you can find this ice cream, but not after Labor Day. The Sherpa Shack was still open in mid-September, but with limited hours. Service was really friendly, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. You can even get a flight of ice cream flavors if you can't decide!”

“Some of the best pizza I've had in the U.P. The crust was light and airy. The toppings were fresh and delicious, as was the cheese. The service was excellent. I will return when in the area again.”
