“Our family (party of 7) had breakfast there on Sept 14! We all loved the browsing the gifts while we waited, the food was delicious, and the entire staff was wonderful! They even sang my mother-in-law Happy Birthday! Btw, we made it to our boat cruise on time!”

Drinks were on point and Bailey our server was such a sweetheart! We had to go back the next day for breakfast! Pancakes will make you want to slap ya mama! The owner even came over and checked on us and we had the opportunity to praise his business! 1000% recommend. Everyone was nice and helpful! Definitely would go there again if I’m in the area!!”

“My family and I went on vacation to Grand Marais over Labor Day weekend and my son wanted to try a new ice cream spot. So we decided to go with this one and we were not disappointed. They're raspberry Rhapsody was amazing. My son was absolutely obsessed with their old fashioned vanilla, and their Banana splits were ginormous. The only thing I wish is that they would open one down closer at the bottom of Michigan so we can enjoy it even when we are at home. But our next vacation up that way we will stop at them for more ice cream for sure. The owners were super nice and just all around good people. I wish I could give them more than five stars. We had a group photo taken and we asked the owners to join in and they did.”

“We tried the Grand Marais Tavern for the first time on our last visit and we were not disappointed. We got there around 5:30 a week after Labor Day and got seated immediately. But not long after it got busy so plan accordingly.

The food was very good. The fries and onion rings were fresh. My wife got the BLT and it was huge. I told myself I wasn’t going to finish that Bufka Burger but that was just a lie - I couldn’t help myself.

It’s a full bar so plenty of drink options but I went with a dirty soda that had a shot of vodka added for a little punch.

Fun atmosphere, great service, easy location. It was a nice place to eat after a day of traveling and site seeing. We came down the dirt road from Muskallonge, but it was worth it. We popped across the street afterwards for some ice cream.”
