Some places are so fabulously put together that I can go on and on about exceptional service with a smile. The food, well prepared, the atmosphere....well take a look at the website. Yet, I have this short sentiment...........It's An Experience! Try It For Yourself!

My husband and I decided to come to Mangiamo to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We had a reservation and indicated in the notes that it was our anniversary. When we arrived the host greeted us, wishing us a happy anniversary and brought us to our table. We then sat at our table for 10 minutes before anyone brought us water, and it wasn't even our server. Another 5 minutes passed before our server, Jody finally greeted us and took our drink and appetizer order. We got our appetizer a full 10 minutes before our drinks arrived at the table. After finishing our appetizer, we had to flag our server down to take our dinner order. By the time we finally ordered dinner we had been sitting for over an hour. No one came to clear our empty appetizer plates or our empty glasses. When we got our entrees they were delivered by another server. We both wanted to order a glass of wine to go with dinner but no one came by to check on us while we were eating. Jody finally came back when we were finished eating at which point we did not want to be there anymore and asked for our check. When she brought our check back she mixed up ours and someone else's so we had to wait even longer to get our card back.Overall the food was good, but the service was terrible and was a damper on celebrating our anniversary.

I rarely write bad reviews, but this place ruined our first wedding anniversary and robbed us the opportunity to celebrate -- NOT THE FIRST COUPLE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TO.They kept avoiding accountability telling us two servers called in sick, but if they knew that when we walked in, they absolutely should have turned us away. We could have had a lovely anniversary at the Chop House. I unfortunately pushed for this restaurant because I had been to a wedding at this venue years ago and thought it would be a beautiful place to celebrate. I have never been more wrong. My father in law wanted to treat us somewhere nice, so it was my in laws, my husband, daughter, and me. We waited half an hour to get seated, which was fine. We got settled, greeted, and they took our drink orders. Server said she'll be "right back" with bread since our daughter was hungry. Which was fine.We chatted for 30 mins before realizing we haven't seen our server or the server's "assistant" since. I had to go up to the bar to inquire about our drink orders and bread. The bar tender was attentive and I appreciated her help in getting the manager. The "manager" or manager's assistant was a ditsy lady who could not keep track of her train of thought. She came over to apologize and promised us our drinks ....... to which it still did not come. Her excuse later on was that she "passed it along" to another person. We were greeted with another "manager" who apologized and promised they would "make it right" before we left. We never saw this guy again.I do not know who is managing the place, but they absolutely need to get fired. We had to complain AGAIN about the bread that never came because our daughter was so hungry. We were promised this would come out, but then shortly after, our dinner order finally came.Food was absolutely incredible.15 more minutes go by and my husband had to go to the bar to get the drinks. Two BEERS.Our waitress came to check on us and when we voiced our disappointment, her response was, "yeah, I was in the other room". Really? Didn't know. (sarcasm)She again emphasized how two servers called in. She offered my daughter gelato and asked what flavor she wanted. My daughter said chocolate, and the waitress confirmed. She came back with vanilla gelato. The wait staff and management are absolutely incompetent for such a prestigious place and I will forever be PISSED that they have robbed us of our celebration. We told THREE different people it was our first anniversary and in my opinion with my experience in management, mine and my husband's meals should have been taken care of MINIMALLY. Not to mention I really wanted dessert, but I could not bring myself for them to ruin that order, too. They did take all our alcoholic drinks off the bill, but it does not make up for everything. The ditsy lady came back asking for my father in laws email so they could send "a proper apology". Whatever that means. Guessing they'll send a pathetic 20% off coupon on our next visit so we spend more money we'll regret. As we were getting ready to take care of the bill, after it has been two hours, they tried serving us the bread. LOLOL -- we all politely declined it.Can't wait to tell this story for the rest of our lives.

I just felt compelled to write this review about our amazing experience last evening. Upon entering the beautful restaurant we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who took us to an amazing fireside table. The attention to detail with the decor was amazing and beautifully candlelit. Taylor, our waitress was phenomenal and extremely attentive! From salad to dessert, our entire meal was spectacular, compliments to the chef! We will definitely be back!

First time here since the interior renovation and was blown away by everything. The hostess was friendly and hospitable and prompt. We arrived a little early to our reservation so we asked about Mo's cocktail lounge for a drink while we waited. The hostess personally walked us all the way downstairs and in to Mo's which is a bit of a walk. Very impressed that she didn't just point us to the stairwell. Drinks at Mo's were outstanding, I had the Italian Mule. When we were seated at our table for dinner, the waitress came over quickly and explained several things about the menu and gave a great explanation of one of the steaks that was unique. We had the caesar salad, I had the zabuton steak which was expensive but worth it in my opinion. It was extremely tender and flavorful and was cooked perfectly! My date had the lasagna which was also outstanding and we shared Truffled & parmesan reds, risotto and asparagus. I didn't love the risotto but the other two were fantastic. Throughout the evening (we lingered a bit after dinner with drinks at our table) the manager of the restaurant checked on us a couple times and it felt very thoughtful and authentic, not irritating or too much. Lastly, the interior renovation is stunning. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and feels luxurious but not intimidating. We will absolutely be coming back and recommend it highly!

My friend booked a table for 16 here to celebrate her 24th birthday. It was lovely from start to finish. The service was the best I've ever had. Everyone was so genuinely kind and attentive. I had the "mushroom cappuccino soup" as a starter, and it was so good I had to pass around bites. So insanely delicious. I could have eaten four bowls of it. Everything we ate was perfect, and the atmosphere and decor was awesome. I would definitely return here for another special occasion.Wheelchair accessibility: Poor.

The only criticism i have is the loud music playing in the background. We could hardly hear our dinner partners it was loud and too upbeat for the atmosphere. Considering the surroundings a quiet lovely piece of music would have been much more pleasing. Too loud for us!

My wife and I had dinner out with a friend and tried Mangiamo, The atmosphere was very relaxing and comfortable, the service was wonderful, the staff was friendly, engaging and interested, and the food was delicious, even better than I expected.Vegetarian options: I had a pasta with vodka sauce, I did add shrimp, but the entree would have been ample and tasty without the shrimp, it included asparagus and cherry tomatoes

The only issue was on line. The reservation didn’t work. I called and made the res and mentioned that it was our anniversary and was pleased to be seated by the fireplace and our special event was recognized. The service was excellent as well as the food
