“I've hosted several events at Bar Pigalle, and the staff always goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether it's a birthday party or a corporate gathering, they're accommodating and easy to work with. I love the staffs being hospitable to everyone and treated them with respect.“
“Having been to Le Supréme multiple times in the last month (I've now had; brunch, and dinner service) I can say it's easily one of my favorite spots. My first time walking in the space I was amazed at all the attention to detail. It's an impeccably Parisian bistro with dark hardwood, and cosy booths. Servers float through the dining room in white shirts and ties, they're friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The food leaves nothing lacking, from perfectly poached eggs with hollandaise at brunch to the punchy yet creamy Filet au Poivre. Something as simple and classic as Bistro-fare isn't as simple to execute so perfectly each time and yet here we are. For those looking for a real showstopper do not miss the seafood tower! With food like this, and a really well curated wine glass and bottle list, I'm going to be coming back as often as I can!“
“Service and ambiance were first class. Caesar salad prepared table side and Parmesan Mushroom Risotto were exceptional. Both Steaks was very salty and a little tough for a ribeye prepared medium. One steak was sent back because it was closer to well done after sitting on the hot plate. Will try again in the future and ask for light seasoning and for them to leave my steak unsliced to avoid it over cooking the interior on the hot plate its served on.“
“I can count on one hand the amount of places I've been and experienced this level of umami. the quality checklist of atmosphere, food, cocktails, music and service are outstanding to say the least. just.. come here and see for yourself.“
“Popped into this cute little spot and was amazed. There is something for everyone on this menu from an extensive list of Belgian beers to an excellent list of classic and inventive cocktails and even an interesting wine list so grab your buds and come check it out. Also, I have to go back and check out their sourdough pizza which I have heard is fabulous. It doesn't happen until after six.“
“We had a 5 PM reservation on a week night and the entire restaurant to ourselves until after 6:30. The hostess greeted us in the hotel lobby and escorted us to our booth seating. Our server / sommelier was attentive, knowledgeable and just the right amount of conversational. The appetizer (beet salad), scallops & branzino, side dish & dessert were all fantastic.“
“Amazing happy hour 4-530 Monday- Thurs. $ 7 cocktails and 4 oz filet $28. The best part of going to London Chop House? The amazing staff. Dorian is their doorman for 10 years, such an amazing soul. The staff inside are welcoming, knowledgeable, true professionals. You never have to worry about poor or indifferent service here. Here are a few bonuses: Frank Sinatra ate there. Ask where his booth was. There is a wonderful cigar bar on the third floor with a billatds table. Best restaurant in downtown Detroit, no questions!Vegetarian options: I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not. When we go during happy hour, I get a baked potato and he gets filet mignon. We go to alot of steakhouses and typically get a potato. I can't recall what I ate at the times we had dinner there, but I went away satisfied.“
“OMG Dave and Amelia are the best mixologist duo. Hubby and I came across Two Birds on google and were impressed with the reviews and photos. Our first visit was nothing short of amazing filled with luxurious and herbaceous cocktails. The atmosphere and vibes in Two Birds was very refreshing. Mature crowd, great music, tasty drinks. We will definitely be coming back as regulars to this establishment. Cheers and Happy Holidays!Tasha & Chad“
“I've been here twice and both times were so fun. I found the bartenders to be a delight. Our last bartender was knowledgeable about cocktails and made us things not on their menu. It is small but that's part of the charm. The lobby of the hotel is also a cool vibe so when people complain about sitting out there,I don't get it. I would only be annoyed being a hotel guest and NOT being able to sit in the lobby. The drinks aren't cheap but it's for sure a fun stop.“
“We had not been to the Caucus Club in 40 years. We will not wait that long to return. An exceptional dinner. The room is elegant and very comfortable. The tables are nicely spaced so you are never too close to your fellow diners. Antonio was our waiter and the service was excellent - half empty glasses immediately refilled and dirty dishes quickly removed. Antonio prepared a table side Caesar salad that was both light and delicious. I had scallops and my wife had chicken Scallopini. The scallops were perfectly cooked and my wife said it was the best chicken she remembers eating. For desert my wife had a chocolate torte that was otherworldly. Just a fantastic dinner. Unbeknownst to us, a jazz trio plays on Saturday evenings - a piano, stand up bass and drum. They were excellent and the music truly elevated the experience. We stayed an extra 20 minutes just listening to the trio. All the way home we talked about how wonderful our evening had been. Great food, fantastic service, elegant room, soulful jazz and a warm, comfortable ambience = exceptional evening. My new favorite restaurant.“
“What a cool place! The ambience, from the back alley entrance to the intimate setting is a very cool atmosphere. Made a reservation so getting in was quick and easy, service was outstanding. The drinks were unique and delicious. Will definitely return!“
“Aptly named, Standby is still the best restaurant + cocktail bar in Detroit. Whenever I'm downtown, I'm hard pressed to choose to go elsewhere because I just honestly would prefer to be here. The cocktails are consistently spectacular, and the rotating food menu is always enticing and delicious. I also consistently receive exceptional service. Top this off with an immaculate vibe, and you've got the makings of, well, a standby. I've come with family to celebrate birthdays, with friends to toast to a promotion, with my husband for an intimate date night, and solo when I just wanted to treat myself. Because of the seasonal menu rotations, there is always something new and interesting to sip or bite. A constant cocktail on the menu that I highly recommend is called the Snake in the Grass. But the best cocktail I had here was called the Black Beretta and was made with clementine sherbet and black sesame - outstanding! I also love that they have a rotating "break-even bottle" - where you can get a taste of typically pricey pours of whiskey, tequila, etc. for just as much money as it costs for them to break even on the bottle.“
“First time. Lunch on weekday. Tried their burger adding onion rings $11.95 and Blue Moon beer, total bill $19 plus tip. Reason for 4 and not 5 stars, I ordered burger "medium rare, more rare than medium " and it was served as medium wellness“
“Sensational. Exceptional food, drinks, service and vibe. Had the Fried Oysters, Octopus Carpaccio, Burger and Scallops. Everything perfect and on point. The Nduja sauce for the seared Scallops was unreal. Highly recommend, and the proximity to Little Caesar's arena makes it a perfect landing spot before an event. Will return!“
“Coriander kitchen is a bit of a quirky place that serves food and drinks on its own terms. A former bait shop they serve seasonal including from their own farms and supporting other local & regional meat, cheese, bean producers. The decor is downtown river funky chic. Canal side dining is available and they have lots of special dinners . My friends enjoyed a burger, fish and salad main meals with a couple of spectacular seasonal drinks and they both want to return“
“The Charlevoix continues to impress. The food choices are inspired and fun - try everything! Some things I never would have thought to try have been incredible (carrot tostadas have no business being this good). They also serve the best Ole Fashioned in town, and have Sea Quench on tap.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, including the tostadas and the smoked tofu sandwich (don't skip this, it's insanely good).Parking: Parking lot is right across the street at the intersection corner.“
“Our server Brandon was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and very professional! The food was excellent! The owner Mike came to our table and introduced himself, which was a very nice and personal touch added to the entire experience! Brandon and Andiamo made my birthday very special!“
“Cocktail menu is absolutely outstanding, and you can buy everything you need to make them here. Great small grocer selection and awesome local beer selection, great curated selection of liquors and staff Is SUPER helpful and attentive. Great place to start or end a night, and even catch a game.“
“It had been 5 years since my last belly up at Bumbos, but I'm glad it's still kicking. A proper bar with a proper pour. Nice staff, laid back atmosphere, good tunes and pet friendly patio. They also have a wide foot rest at the bar which amazingly some bars omit altogether. If I lived in Hamtramck, I would live in “
“Excellent spot. Popped in for a quick lunch and had an incredible arugula salad and a slice of pizza. The team was fast, food was delicious, and Kyle was super hospitable. Definitely stop by and give it a try! Best NY style pizza in Detroit.“
“I stopped in here last week and had one of the best times that I have had in quite some time ! The drinks were strong and the Motor City Birger was very good. The bar was not crowded and our waitress was very attentive and got our order correct. She was amazing if you ask me so of course we tipped her well !“
“HIGHLY recommend stopping by. I happened upon it (visiting Detroit) on a rainy night, was pleasantly surprised by the hours, offerings, atmosphere, and the lovely staff. I returned maybe 4 more times over my trip, staff was always lovely. Highly recommend the iced Irish coffees and their drip coffee offerings were always stellar. The little cookies I got were phenomenal. I met the owner the last day and he was very jovial and enthusiastic, talked about the music and how they shift the vibes for Detroit's Opening Day. Thanks y'all!“
“I absolutely love this bar the service is always amazing and the cocktails are spectacular they also have a great wine list, the staff definitely knew what they are talking about and helped us pick out a perfect bottle of rose!! The atmosphere is great for all occasions like a girls night or a date night!! The only thing is that I'm a vegetarian so there's not many food options for me but that definitely doesn't change my opinion in anyway!“
“I live in West Village & needed to get out today. I went to the Café & Kitchen for a glass of wine & fries with a good friend. The server was very kind & considerate of our needs. The atmosphere was so comfortable! My friend says she loves our neighborhood!“
“We love this place in the summer when the patio area is open. Drinks are always hit or miss, but this time we came and they had the sippin Santa pop up menu which we've had elsewhere and the drinks were fantastic! Bartender told us a lot about the pop up and made great drinks. My husband ordered a whiskey ginger and he used a fresh ginger syrup which took the drink up a notch. Always will be back.“
“We’ve lived downtown for a few years and have never made it to this place. Wow. Our loss. This is an amazing bar with the most fabulous unique drinks and the most knowledgeable friendly bartenders. My husband and I had an amazing evening! Can’t wait to go back!“
“Innovative and well-crafted mixed drinks, warm atmosphere (feels like home), hardy laughs, and good times. Extensive and premier spirits/wine list. Love the choice of side dishes; they make a great paring. You couldn’t go wrong making a trip here!!“
“Listen guys! I’m speaking to my Detroit natives and my tourists.. this place is the place to BE! Yesterday I visited this establishment and I had ‘what I thought’ was the best experience but after returning for seconds the VERY NEXT DAY… I’d have to say that each time I visit the experience gets better and better. I absolutely love this place. Not only because it’s black owned but because they stand on straight business. The food was exceptional And you can tell that they take pride in providing quality service. I order the pasta 10/10, the sweet & spicy shrimp 10/10 & the chicken sandwich 10/10.. no exaggeration.. yeah so check them out“
“Is there an option for six stars? This place served the best pasta I have ever had! The mussels were amazing and the ambience was so nice! Our server was very helpful in breaking down the menu and making suggestions. They have a happy hour which is perfect if you want to stop in and just try a few items from the menu. I can't wait to go back!“
“Ok, so this isn't really a food place unless there is a popup but the bartender doesn't seem to care if you grab something at the Checkers next door. It's a nice little queer friendly dive bar with cheap drinks, trivia on Tuesdays, pool, and pinball. Sometimes they have shows. The vibe is kinda like a treehouse for adult boys.“
“Tried F\\u0026B for the first time last week after hearing so many great reviews. Even though the space is a little small, the decor and atmosphere of the place was amazing. The food was delicious and well prepared. My favourite dish was the carbonara gnocchi and duck breast. I would’ve loved to give this place a 5 star but the service was not great considering we were the only ones at the restaurant. Every time a plate was brought to our table, the server would already be walking away, while describing the contents of the dish. When we would wave the server down to ask a question, he never fully stopped at our table and didn’t wait to see if we had any other questions. He just walked away. Overall, I would come back again since their menu changes seasonally and the food was extremely tasty.“
“A Nightclub like Michigan has never seen! The atmosphere was amazing, beautiful classy crowd, and amazing music from the live DJ. Dinner before at Zuzu was excellent as well. I expected nothing less from the same people who brought us 220 & Rose Room. I will definitely be back!“
“Celebrated my birthday with girlfriends on a Friday night. Only one other couple present so we felt like we were their only customers. That I loved ❤️. Felt a little rushed because the waitress was asking about dessert and I wasn’t done my dinner. But she was very nice and attentive ❤️They had bread or baguette and bread but was not homemade and wanted to charge $3 dollars for another small basket of bread. No oil or garlic and bread was not warm. The meals were excellent but portions very small again (pasta is cheap). A friend of mine said she went home and ate again. I felt embarrassed because I picked this place. The meals we had were not cheap. Drinks were all good. Oh ya the other thing they charge $6 if you don’t want their home salad for caesar. WOW we were all shocked ?. The chocolate lava cake was amazing . Hope they make some changes and then I will be back. Otherwise, Spagos is down the street and am never disappointed there ever.“
“Great spot tucked away inside a beautiful old building in the city. Open to the public, this is definitely worth a stop for drinks before your dinner reservation. It was full, but not too busy. Good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere with very classy vibes. Live music started around 8“
“Good is very good. Crispy breading on the fried foods is delicious. The chicken strips, fries, and fried pickles (cutely named frickles here) are top notch. The menu is pretty eclectic. I really like the sporty and relaxed atmosphere.Parking: Not a huge parking lot but sufficient ?“
“Willow is beautiful and the vibe is really chill on Thursday night. We ordered from the menu as well as having Akeem customize drinks based on what we told him we liked. ALL the drinks were fantastic! After two rounds (and a bonus sample) we had to call it quits on a school night, but there was so much more left to try!“
“Great food and service. The boss had to move us to allow for a big party, by doing so we get a better table and drinks to boot for moving us. But the choice is food was great. We shared a combo platter, with lamb chops which were outstanding. We will definitely be revisiting this place.“
“We came on a slower Sunday evening and we were treated with so much care and attention it was truly incredible. Our server made us truly feel welcomed and gave us great food recommendations and the food was incredible and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Thank you for making a memorable Sunday and we will return soon!“
“The Trolly Room has great food and even better service! My husband and I came to eat here after an event ended and didn’t realize the kitchen closed in 10 minutes. The wait staff was welcoming, helpful, and didn’t try to rush us. My husband and I both ordered the club sandwich with fries and it was delicious! We would definitely visit again!“
“Went there for the first time Saturday. Had a great time! Our server Tony was awesome and Bill the owner (hope I remembered the name right) was a pleasure to meet. The food is awesome! You were not wrong about that. Thank you so much! We will be back! Maybe too often. Lol.“
“Great atmosphere & the food was delicious. They have the best bartenders & the vibe is just right. Everyone is friendly & NO DRAMA.I was solo and the Security guy made sure I was safe getting to my car. Our Bar is a vibe that anyone would enjoy.“
“My family and I dined here yesterday evening, and it was a wonderful experience. We had a large party, and we know how service/ food can be with a larger party, but the staff at Savoy were exceptional! Everyone enjoyed their appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The band is a great touch and adds to the atmosphere. Parking was safe and conveniently located, and they even had a friendly doorman that greets you and walks you to your vehicle upon leaving. As an eastsider it was great to see this type of establishment thriving. I'll definitely be back and will tell others about it!“
“So this is a cool spot! It's actually outside in campus martius, And if it's a nice day this is a really great place to be. You're right in the center of downtown on Woodward. It's a good walk from everything, well a lot of things. Baba bar, food, there's a restaurant about 20 yards away, it's a one-stop shop if you are walking around downtown. I thought that the service was pretty good, we spoke to the waitresses in Great length and had a good conversation, they made time to come and talk to us. I can appreciate that!If I was coming downtown and walking around for the night, I might would in and have a drink again!“
“Found this place because I wanted somewhere close to the water/lake, and I saw that the reviews were very good. So I brought my grandfather (100y.o.) to have brunch and it was quite excellent! The restaurant is so beautifully put together and very clean! The staff was helpful and friendly. And the food was so yummy!! I plan on returning very soon with my group of friends for a lovely (boozy hehehe) brunch!! 10/10!!“
“My partner and I went for our anniversary dinner. It was crummy weather out so the restaurant wasn't very busy. We had chicken Parmesan, seafood Alfredo, and the tiramisu. All of the food was delicious, including the complimentary minestrone soup. I'm usually not a tiramisu person but we got it on the recommendation of our waiter and it was absolutely to die for! Highly highly recommend. Our server was attentive and helpful with questions and suggestions!“
“Visited midnight temple on a Ramadan evening. We broke our fast and our server provided a space for us to pray. One of our favorite dishes was the Manchurian (cauliflower) very flavorful and delicious! Definitely a must have. I also ordered spicy chicken vindaloo. When I received the vindaloo, it was a thin consistency and not very spicy. I informed the server, he did not hesitate to make it right. When my vindaloo returned, it was incredible. The consistency was thicker and spicy, exactly the way I like. They were so nice and made sure we were all happy with our dishes. Very, very happy with the customer service, the willingness to accommodate our religious needs, the atmosphere and the delicious food. Thank you for the amazing service! We will be back!“
“I celebrated my 55th Birthday at this establishment on 3-23-24. This was a VIBE. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, all the employees made me & my guest feel welcome. Nya & Norris were the absolute BEST! They made sure our first time visit was remarkable as well as memorable. They were AMAZING and I appreciated their service. Thank you to the manager, who stopped by our table to check on me and my guest, making sure everything was going well. I recommend everyone to try Central Kitchen +Bar in Detroit.“
“I took my family of four out last night to celebrate some recent good fortune. I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye medium rare. My steak came and it was what I would term Pittsburgh style, nicely crisp on the outside but utterly raw on the inside. I don’t like to send things back but at 117 bucks I had to. It came back more done but it was terrible. Very chewy and not very tasty. I was pretty disappointed. However the worst was yet to come. When I called for my check, the waitress had automatically put a 20% tip on my check! I can see if we were a party of six or more to automatically add this but for a family of four? I normally tip slightly more for outstanding service but to simply add it without notice, I thought it was pretty inappropriate. All in all, for a tab that was north of $700 before tip, it was a pretty disappointing dinner. I am not sure if I will go back.“
“We walked in to the Buhl Bar and where greeted by George and Aish they where both so friendly and so full of information. We provided our preferences in taste and allowed George to select and make our cocktails. He nailed our tastes and delivered the best cocktails we have had. This place has such a great art deco vide the service was second to none and the drinks amazing. Thank you George and Aish it was a pleasure to have meet you both.“
“Hubby and I just relocated and are new to town. We stopped in for our first visit and Patty and Justin treated us like regulars. So friendly and such great customer service. We felt very welcomed. The drinks were great and the food was delicious! The double cheeseburger and totchos were impressively scrumptious. The burger was so juicy and one of the best we’ve had in town! We are looking forward to many more great memories at Old Pony. Cheers friends!“
