This shop serves up, with daily consistency, what I consider the gold standard of the macaron cookie. I have become obsessed with the French dessert and search it out in bakeries everywhere I go. One of the hallmarks I’ve found of a great macaron is that it has its delicious flavor across a wide temperature range, from refrigerated temperatures to room temp. Average macarons taste suitable only after thawing to room temperature. This tells me that Le Detroit Macaron is probably grinding their almond flour as finely as possible and measuring their ingredients by weight instead of volume to ensure the magic ingredient of the macaron - the almond flour - is ever present in every morsel at every temperature. The more granular the almond flour the less available it becomes to the taste buds at lower temperatures. Anyways, I’m clearly a nerd for these desserts and Le Detroit Macaron knocks it out of the park every time!!

Amazing macarons! I have been to several places for macarons because I'm obsessed with them. I heard about this place from a friend so made a special trip yesterday just to this bakery. There were several other options too so something for everyone's taste. The food tasted pretty good and there were lots of flavors to choose from but there's a problem. The macaron is a bit pricey and I got 12 of them which costed me 33 dollars. If we do the math, it's $2.75 for one macaron which I don't really like. Other than that it taste pretty good and would've liked to come here again but it's a bit too pricey for me.

A must try. I grew up in Hamtramck and wish that this business was present then, but I enjoy making the drive, and indulge every time. My family and I look forward to the new monthly macarons offered, but tend to stick to the pistachio, lemon and lavender.

Delicious macarons with unique flavors (the cinnamon cream cheese one is the most dreamy thing I've ever eaten). Cute building, super friendly & knowledgeable staff.Also had the opportunity to take a macaron techniques class here and it was amazing. Super small class size, but very hands-on and informative. It was just a plus that I got to come home with almost 2 dozen macarons!
