This place is an all around 5 star, honestly. I heard about the restaurant through co-workers, and when I finally made it, I was not disappointed. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I typically come for lunch as I work close by. First time at Mizu, I had a ramen bowl for lunch. It was absolutely massive. I was unable to finish it, but it was so good that I actually forced myself to clear the bowl. I've also had the Hot Stone Bibimbap, which is currently my favorite dish.I recently came for dinner with my husband and son and it was worth the 35 minute drive. My husband had the bibimbap with tofu, I had the spicy, soft tofu stew, and my son had the teriyaki chicken and steamed dumplings. My husband is picky and when we finished, he said - "we found a new spot". So I'm guessing he enjoyed his meal.As I type this, all I can think about is how I should have made the 35 - ish minute drive, instead of eat at home.I did forget to mention, that sushi is very popular here. I have not had it as I'm trying to go through the hot dishes first, but during dinner, the sushi boat seemed to be very very popular.Vegetarian options: Many dishes allow you to choose your protein. Tofu is on the list.Parking: It's in downtown Holland, the area in general is known for how difficult it is to find parking. There are spots on the street as well as parking lots behind the buildings. You just have to be patient or time your meal accordingly.

This place is about a 3.5 star experience for me. So it rounds up to 4-stars. But been here a couple of times, I know it's a local favorite. Last visit we tried the Spicy Shrimp Dish, a couple of the popular rolls, and an Unagi Roll. So the waitress recommended the Spicy Shrimp dish, and I saw pics on Yelp and it looked good, and I have to say we were very pleased. It lived up to the visuals, it was very flavorful, plenty of shrimp, I would make this my go-to dish and I highly recommend. That was 5-stars hands down. The rolls - one was a fire / tempura roll? I forgot the names - sorry. Another was some spicy roll. Those were meh. They were okay, not too impressed, I only had a couple of each and they took the rest home. That was a downer for me - after a spectacular shrimp dish I was expecting similar with the rolls but didn't match. The Eel / Unagi I got was okay. It was quite small, couldn't really get that bbq taste. It wasn't bad but it did not wow-me. They also have an Unagi on Rice dish that looks great, but since this mediocre experience I am not as excited to try it. I am afraid I'll get the same so-so experience and that dish is nearly $20 I think. I'll have to think some more about that. I wish they had fresh wasabi - - an option I have seen but their wasabi was just okay, the usual paste. Freshly grated wasabi is an awesome experience and would help take this to the next level, hope they look into that. I think on one visit I had the Green Curry - and it was okay. I think it was loaded with coconut milk and really thick whereas I prefer not as thick and more robust flavor profile. This place can fill up and when it does it gets loud here. That was kind of a bummer but it was something I could deal with. Waitress was nice, attentive, gave good recommendations. Third time here so I will likely go back - definitely for that spicy shrimp dish. I may pass on the rolls. And I will still have to think about ordering more Unagi. Still - I do recommend and will be back.

Love the food, the service is always great, and the ambience can get busy but Holland is a tourist town especially in the summer and spring so can't complain. Just make sure you're aware there may be a wait and they don't take reservations. But the food makes it worth it. I go there all the time and love it every time! Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Holland or just want a good meal!

Waited an hour for a takeout order - turns out they gave it away to another customer. I asked for a refund and was informed that couldn’t be done either. Don’t give them your credit card number over the phone whatever you do.

I had the pink lady and dragon roll they both were AMAZING! I did order online to go so I didn't get to enjoy the establishment even tho it was absolutely stunning when I went inside. The last at the front was a little crabby when I came in to grab my order but it was fine considering It was sooo super busy. All in all this is my new favorite place and I'll always return

We waited over an hour. A girl and a guy came in and they seem to know the staffs. They got a table within 5 minutes. Food is good no complaints. I just don’t agree with how things are running when there are people who have been waiting over an hour.

Went here for dinner with my team. It was not super busy but we got seated right away. The staff was around but not super available. I went up front to request things a couple times because we could not find the waitress. Overall the experience was nice. Food is reasonably priced and tasty and the portions are good. I liked their hot tea. I did not do sushi this time, but I can say the chicken, shrimp, and tempura dishes were all well received. Their rice was.great. I will be happy to go back and try their sushi next time, it looks popular.Dietary restrictions: GF optionsParking: Lot parking. No one told me Mizu Sushi had Korean food. I thought this was a regular sushi place, so never really seeked it out, but I was clearly wrong. They do sushi, ramen, curry and fried rice, a little bit of everything. But I want them to advertise the Bibimbap or the Bulgogi. How many other places can you get Korean food in the area? I don't know what their specialty is, but it really seemed like the Korean food was our waitresses favorite and the sushi was almost like an afterthought. I'm a big sushi fan, but our waitresses excitement over the Bulgogi is really why I want to keep coming back. If you only come here for sushi, you're doing it wrong.

I have been going to Mizu since they opened their doors years ago. With Mizu being one of the only sushi restaurants in the holland area, there isn't much competition. This being said, I have dined at numerous sushi restaurants in the Grand Rapids area etc. and Mizu remains in my top 2 favorites. The staff is amazing, the menu is quite large and very accommodating to all, and the food is excellent. One of my favorite rolls is the Iceland volcano roll; the torched salmon and sweet potato crisps on top is one of the best combos I've ever had! The gyoza soup is a must try as well if you're craving something warm and bursting with flavor. If you're not feeling sushi, they offer many non fish items. The fried rice and ramen and a couple of my favorites. Both are generous portions and very delicious. 10/10 I would recommend this place to anyone! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.
