“10/10 — HANDS DOWN WORTH THE HOUR DRIVE! Don’t think it over anymore just get in the car and head out! The server was OUTSTANDING! She was very engaged with attention to detail during our ordering process. The order came out so fast it was like they read our minds! The IRISH omelette with the corn beef is AMAZING! I’m used to a canned corn beef style being offered. This is TRUE real shredded corn beef! Simply AMAZING! All areas I could see of the restaurant are kept clean and well kept. Plenty of parking! Views of Houghton Lake in the distance. Definitely will be back! Thank you for the awesome experience!”

“I would recommend this restaurant any day of the week except for Monday and Tuesday evenings. I was in there tonight around 7:30 getting dinner with my grandson. it was 7:48. there was a car pull in to do the same thing. it would have been a table of 5 or 6 people coming in but one of the waitresses there took matters into her own hands walked over shut the open sign off then proceeded to walk out the side doors close to the funeral home and tell the costumers that they were closed. I don't see how this is far to not only the costumers or the restaurant owners. it is not the first time I have seen this done in Monday or Tuesday. I myself have witnessed it many others times turning customers away.”

“My son and I visited this little gem over this past weekend. It has such a cool atmosphere, with great service, and the food is on point. We had breakfast...the bacon is thick...and you definitely have to get the homemade rye toast! Definitely will be back...”

“We went on a Thursday to celebrate our anniversary. I was excited for prime rib, hubby ordered walleye. and we split an oder of fried mushrooms. I am disabled and was pleased to find the entrance level, more than adequate lighting, and plenty of space to maneuver mobility devices between tables. TV screens all around the walls for game watching. I was excited to learn that their sauces and toppings are made in-house. Staff were efficient, friendly, and informed. We don't go out very often, but plan to stop in or grab take-out from here when we are up here in Houghton Lake.”

“The Nottingham is a landmark for Houghton Lake. We live this place. Pam the bartender is the best. She made us feel so welcome and we had the best time. We have been here several times snd all the bartenders have been great but Pam is the best!”

“Absolutely amazing service, the waitstaff was super pleasant and very helpful! The size of the proportions were astronomically amazing, as were the drinks! I would highly recommend trying this little gem of a place! The only complaint I have was it’s very bright, but that was easily adaptable.”

“I grew up in the house next door ( now a used car lot) in the 50’s and early 60’s. I took my wife up there to show her where I grew up and was happy to see the Spikehorn was still there. We stopped in had lunch it was very busy so we ate at the bar. Service was great bartender was friendly and efficient. Food was good . No complaints. I will be going back whenever we are back to Houghton Lake.”

The triple Chocolate cheesecake, rhubarb thumbprint cookie, red velvet collision, cinnamon rolls and the chocolate rum frosted cupcakes, and of course the caramel pecan crunch rolled ice cream! The owner is an absolute Gem! we will be back every year on our annual trip to Higgins Lake.”

“their pizza is absolutely amazing but this review is specifically for the workers. they are so kind hearted & manners are on TEN. my boyfriend was doing a parking lot next to this location yesterday (and a couple days previous, he kept running into mechanical issues with his equipment- in turn taking longer than hoped) & they showed him grace, kindness & hospitality without being asked. thank you ??”

“VERY PLEASNTLY SUPRISED! I can't comment on the Buffet because we only ordered "Take-Out. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Fried Rice, General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken and the Mongolian Beef. The Beef and Chicken were tender and flavorful. We like it Spicey so next time we will order it that way and trust me there will be a next time. Very ample sized portions for the price. n”
