“This is a good spot; it's nicer than you might assume due to its location in the strip mall. It's a little small. If it weren't for the overflow seating area next door, the space would be pretty limited, so I'm grateful for the extra room! It seems that it might be temporary. I'd imagine that when new tenants move in, that area will go away.“
“If you are looking for a casual and friendly Cafe, try 517. We had one of the best decaffeinated latte, and another latte with molasses and brown sugar. We got 2 pastries was with bacon and apple slices, which were yummy! You will meet super friendly and nice barista. Will definitely go back there.“

“I’ve been a long time regular at downtown and have nothing but high praises for it. The baristas consistently improve my mood with their friendly demeanor and witty jokes! Liv, Zac, Jac, & the rest of the baristas always treat me like one of their own and always make me feel welcome. I look forward to getting food and coffee from here almost every very day I can afford to. The shop’s atmosphere matches the aesthetic of downtown to a t and I’m happy that this is the premier craft coffee spot in the area. Despite the greater Lansing area being hostile to LGBT people, it’s nice to have a little sanctuary where we all feel safe. I love the cortados and dirty chais that I get. Academic studies claim that 3rd spaces are dying and strange matter is a large exception to that notion. From a study spot that isn’t my apartment to a place to meet friends and family, strange matter consistently fills a need in my life for a reliable 3rd space. I’ve worked in coffee in the past and the staff’s passion for what they do clearly shows. Best damn coffee shop in all of Lansing.“
“What an amazing hidden gem full of DELICIOUS healthy foods and drinks. Today was my first visit and already I’m phoning friends trying to make dates to go back and grab a bite to eat! I had the pleasure of trying today; coconut bowl, PB/banana cinnamon oatmeal bowl (all gluten free), pumpkin spiced latte (with real pumpkin!), and the Mexican mule coffee, 10/10 yummmm, every single item. So so good and reasonably priced.“
“I love this coffee shop! I was bummed when the Biggby in this location closed because I love the atmosphere. However I’m not a fan of Biggby- so when the Hob Nob opened, I was so excited. Their drinks are so good, not overly sugary like Biggby. And everyone that works there is so nice and friendly. I only wish they were open on the weekends so I could spend more time there.“

“Let me preface this with the fact that I travel all over the state of Michigan for my job. I swing into coffee shops all the time when I’m on the road and give employees of coffee shops and cafes the opportunity to make whatever they want and have creative freedom. I’ve swing into this location a couple of different times but the last two times I’ve been here have prompted me to make a review. The barista Josh know how to make a coffee. It was a mocha cold brew with white chocolate and mint. It was so good I thought about it periodically throughout the week until I was back into Lansing for the day. The customer service of this store is amazing too, Sophia is who I talked two the last two times I visited. this is a store with two highly rated employees. These two definitely deserve recognition for the quality of work they carry out.“
“I went here for the first time today and was blown away. To start, the staff was so friendly (shoutout Lesley and Chloe). Since it was my first time, they gave me suggestions based of my dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and my taste of coffee (sweeter). I got the Greek wrap without the chicken and added avocado based on Lesley's recommendation. It tasted great. Chloe suggested the Smores latte and it was exactly what I wanted. I sat in the Cafe for some time on my laptop (they offer wifi :)) and Chloe and Lesley were so friendly. They also had multiple regulars come in during this time and they remembered their orders; they clearly had built relationships with these customers.“
“This is by far THE BEST location I’ve ever been to…it’s not too busy, and the staff is warm and inviting. The young lady that helped me today was very friendly and is worth her value in gold! In todays world, it’s so difficult to find good employees, let alone good customer service, and this place had both! Whatever management is doing to attract and keep good staff, keep doing it! “I grew up in Lansing I live in Florida now every time I come home to visit I gotta get me some Sparty’s Coney Island. What’s my favorite well the chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries would be my favorite. The olive burger is fire as well I mean you really can’t go wrong I mean Really everything they make is fantastic you can go to any other Coney Island in the country and it doesn’t get better than Spartys trust me.“
“While they are consistently good, they went above and beyond today. I ordered a drink not realizing it has lemonade in it. I need to avoid that much acid so I couldn't drink it. Without hesitation, the barista made a different drink for me, even though it was 100% my fault and against policy. “Very friendly & helpful staff, food & drinks are on par with other Starbucks locations. It's cozy in there, and the building is cool.I did ask for help with something - A random man kept bothering me, and followed me out once I left. I waited in my car until he was gone, and went back in to alert the staff. They were very attentive and listened to my concerns. I could tell they took it seriously, which meant a lot.“

“Big kudos and very appreciative how the employees I have met today are. Very heart warming and kind. I am a older generation of the working class. Mason and Anitria was cleaning as I arrived at they dropped everything instantly for me. From greeting as soon as I opened the door. Then a couple more peeps came along . They toaster gave out and they continued to work around and serve everyone so quickly with positive energy. I love seeing young workers have fun and work hard. “I love this store! Today i e3was not happy at all. Whoever was making drinks at around 12:30pm should need to be retrained. I drink at least 1 biggby a day, 2 a day on weekends. I get a kicking-raspberry everytime and today I got one and it did not teast like a kicking raspberry. Again I well be back but who made drinks today needs retraining.“
“Love this sweet book store. Great selection of books for readers of all ages and genres. Staff will help you find what you’re looking for, and if they don’t have it, they will order it for you, or you can easily order online from their website and go pick it up when it arrives. Cafe has a variety of beverages ranging from coffees to flights of wine to cocktails to unwind. There are also snacks, baked goods and heavier fare if you are more than a little hungry. They have events during the week, they change it up quite a bit. Plenty of seating to catch up with a friend, do a little studying, or just buy a book and get lost in it. A lovely addition to the area, really glad it’s here.“
