“Very good place to eat the staff is very good food is good and you will get the biggest cup of coffee around you have to hold the cup with 2 hands. Jenny the owner is the best around always joking around just a fun place to eat. We were on our way home from celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and went there to have breakfast on 10/8/23 and Jenny gave us our breakfast for free. We were surprised whe we got the bill and it said o owed. A great lady and a great place to eat. We make it there about 3 times a year and would go more if we lived close.“

“I stopped here for something to eat on my way home from an early ending vacation. It was late evening so there was only a few people there, but the place was busy with take out orders. Service was friendly and fast. I had a small deluxe pizza and bread sticks. Really enjoyed the flavor, well made and worth the money.“

“The t.v.s were all muted, that was fantastic. It was busy but not too loud for a conversation. We shared a 16oz prime rib meal and had just a little leftover. It was absolutely delicious. The server was great, came just often enough and was professional, warm, and kind.Wheelchair accessibility: It was wheelchair accessible.“

“Great location in downtown Manistee along the river, deck outside for warm weather, nice open feeling inside with high ceilings, a good decor with a mixture of elegance and rustic. Our server was Lauren who was warm, hospitable, professional and knowledgeable. Thank you Lauren. The menu had a nice selection of options and we very much enjoyed the mussels along with our plats principles. Dessert? Of course! Ce n’est pas un repas complet sans le dessert. The crème brûlée crust was just right, toasty, thin and crisp. We’ll be back on our next adventure on the lakeshore… and if you haven’t been there yet, Allez-y.“

North Channel Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
86 Washington St, Manistee

“I love North Channel! Everything I've tried on the menu is great. My favorites are the Caesar salad, the cheeseburger, and the onion rings with the honey. The food is always the same great quality, but I do miss the fried pickle chips! They were the best. The Sawmill stout is great, but they could use some more dark beers - browns and porters!Summertime it gets super busy, but it's worth the wait. I think the food quality matches the price, and the portion sizes are plentiful.Staff is always friendly, even when they are clearly overwhelmed with tables. The gluten free bun is overpriced at $4 extra....but most restaurants in the area don't even have that option.“
