“Last dined at Skips in January 2026 , let me say this , first biggest complaint is that after looking at my credit statement I saw that they tacked on an extra $20 charge on my credit card without my permission , after questioning them they did remove the charge , second the food was fair at best , I ordered the Walleye which I'm not sure it was even Walleye , it tasted and looked more like Tilapia ( 2 small filets ) , wife had the Salmon which she said was just ok . I bragged about this place to the others that were with us and they agreed it was nothing to write home about , ,will I go back to Skips , no but they probably don't carel”

“This was a great place to catch lunch while passing through New Buffalo. The view of the channel was nice. We sat on the porch as it was beautiful outside. The food was a little overpriced but it wasn’t extreme. The Caesar salad was excellent as was the chicken sandwich. The drinks were okay - you can probably skip those. Service was friendly and attentive. I wish the porch was a little bigger. It wasn’t very intimate. That said, it wasn’t loud and it didn’t detract too much from our experience. We would absolutely go back.”

“The strawberry shake was great. However, the cheeseburgers are just not good. They are the pre-made patties and unappealing. If you're there for ice cream, you'll more than likely be pleased. Save your food money and eat anywhere else.”

“Came in the other day and had such a great experience that I decided to stop in again this morning around 11 on my way to work. I’m so glad I did.

The team was incredibly busy, but these baristas are absolute rock stars, they kept everything moving and got everyone’s food and drinks out quickly without missing a beat.

Blake especially stood out to me. He was so encouraging with his team, constantly hyping them up and making sure they knew how great they were doing. That kind of leadership really shows and creates such a positive atmosphere.
