“Love G&L's chili dogs and fries!!! I used to go to the Holland location, which is closer to where I live, and was really upset that location was closed - it was a go-to spot for my husband and me. Anytime I'm in Muskegon I go to G&L and get my chili dog combo fix! :)“
“Definitely one of Muskegon’s finest restaurants!! This is not fast food, but it is food that is fast and at a reasonable price. I always recommend to everyone! Try the buffalo fries or the best corn dogs you’ll ever have. Really good chili dogs as well. Also try the delicious milkshakes. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.“
“I go too your restaurant at least once a week. And bring people with me. I sent my daughter to get me and my friend lunch there. I don't know what was put on my buger, but it wasn't good. I usually get a bacon burger with just bacon cheese and lettuce, tomato. Well I didn't received what I ordered! Next time if I to stay home I will choose another place. It's so disappointing when your ready for something and you get something different. My dogs liked it!“
“Bella Maria's could not have been better. Our guests raved about the food. We were offsite and Teddy cooked our meal. The parmesan encrusted chicken breast was tender and juicy. Every dish was great. Staff was super friendly and quickly fixed a tablecloth issue caused by a supplier. These guys are true professionals. Thank You Alyssa, Teddy and all the Bella Maria staff.“
“We went and ate about 3:00 My boss gave me a gift card because I usually don't eat a Chili's and it had been over a year. I don't know what happened but this place is outstanding now The service is excellent the food is a lot better just general all around great place to eat now“
“Love this place!! Great burgers and fries! I ate out tonight and choose this restaurant, unfortunately they didn’t give my extra sauce that I did pay for. And one of them was only a quarter full. But, I’d still go back! (Try their sauces! So yummy)“
“Stopped in to try the St. Patrick's Day menu. Went with the burger with the corned beef added onto it. (Sorry, I can't recall the name of it!) In a word - awesome!! And the mint mousse dessert "for two" was big enough for, at least, three! Also incredible!! Service was amazing, too, from the bartender! Loved everything about it!!“
“In another post, I told you about a best friend of mine who recently passed away at the young age of 66. This was his most favorite place in the whole world! Lefty and Romo's put up with a lot from my friend, he was known to knock down a few, but they still treated him with respect and acted like they were genuinely happy to see him when he visited the joint! That made him feel good although he never said anything, I know it did because they had every right to permanently ban him on several occasions but instead made sure he got home safely, so he could come back with his dignity. That's pretty unheard of in this day and time, so Kudos to an establishment who treats their regulars like that! The other night we went with a whole group and I just got appetizers. Everyone else got dinners and sandwiches. I've eaten there before and have always enjoyed my food but maybe I just wasn't in the mood to try the gator but I didn't like it very much, it just didn't feel good in my mouth and not much taste. Other people in the group, however, really enjoyed the appetizer. Also, I ordered clam strips as an appetizer and they even warn you on the menu that they may be chewy. They did taste good but having to chew excessively like that was too much work for a lazy eater like me, so I gave up after awhile. As always, the service was excellent, they were very busy, packed, but that didn't make any difference to our service or our food being served in a reasonable timeframe. Lefty and Romo's is a great place to go have some cocktails, have a quick meal or a leisurely dinner with friends and/or family. Pretty comparably priced to most restaurants of their kind and if you haven't visited at least once, you should make it a point to go. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed!“
“Came back home to visit, living in Oklahoma now and asked for the best sandwich/ hoagie shop was and they said this place and they weren't kidding, it's fantastic. I will definitely be back. Now when I come I'll have 2 places I will definitely eat at. Mr.Scribs and Fatty Lumpkins.“
“Always a favorite for my wife and I. The food never disappoints and the German beer is a favorite of mine. Service is always friendly and I honestly all around a great experience every time. I personally love the pork schnitzel and it’s the only thing I’ve actually eaten here and it will always be that way. That being said, I’ve never tried anything else on the menu.“
“My wife and i went in today and had lunch. We have been there many times and can’t get enough. As a chef and foodie myself i am always impressed with their offerings. We actually drove 7 hours (from Des Moines Iowa) to eat here. I don’t see what these 1 and 2 star people are talking about. Definitely a must try, support local and Eat local.Vegetarian options: Mushroom tacos, curry vegetables tacos and seasonal vegan burrito is my wife’s favorite and they have falafel tacos ???“
“Husband & I stopped in for a bite. Jack our waiter was awesome. I’m a type 1 diabetic and was having a low . My husband went to ask him for some apple juice cause of my situation. And he came right out with it . Very polite nice young man. Thank you Jack ??“
“I had a black coffee, the vegan goulash and a bacon cheddar frittata. All very delicious. The staff was very helpful.I grew up in Muskegon area. In 1995 I was 20 years old and moved to Kalamazoo. I grad WMU 2001.I've lived in Tempe, Los Angeles, Charlotte and Atlanta. Not to mention GR, Saugatuck, Holland, GH and Battle Creek. So nice to see such a great cafe in Musk. I just moved back to Muskegon last November.I see there's an open mic night. Can't wait to read and experience more.Well done, TCF:)“
“Their food is AMAZING!!!!! Enough said! Updating my post 3/2/2024... The food is STILL AMAZING!!!!Kid-friendliness: Family oriented atmosphere. I do wish there was a wider selection for kids menus. One minus was the man c cheese we ordered for my granddaughter. It was over cooked/dry. Otherwise, the food is AMAZING!“
“Been havin breakfast here since I was knee high to a grasshopper. It's my favorite place! I believe I would make special trips to Muskegon, even if I lived all the way in Alaska, just to have a country fried steak or the Southern Skillet.“
“Arrived 11am on a monday and the place was a bustling. The dining area is definitely on the small side but people understand this and don't diddle daddle.I only waited 2 minutes for a seat at the counter (7 stools). Wait staff is of the teamwork type. Everyone helps and is happy to be helpful.I ordered an Irish Omelette, with white toast, and a side order 1/2 biscuits and gravy. Food was ample size for price and cooked VERY well (great, exceptional)!Tasted amazing too!I requested a water and a diet coke. Cold and refreshing.Only 1 table that can hold 7 or squeeze in 8. But lots of tables that can squeeze 5. Space is the only possible gripe about this restaurant.Herbie's is everything you want in a small diner that is open until 2pm.Great food, price, service (Kathy was also exceptional), and atmosphere!!!Herbie's should be your next stop in Muskegon for breakfast/lunch!Bravo,Busta-RandallParking: Empty building next door allows overflow.Kid-friendliness: Lots of elderly to oooh and ahhh at them.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight but doable for all but the largest mobile chairs.“
“Visited for the first time and it was AMAZING. I wanted to try as many of the soups as possible so the server suggested I do a trilogy of soups. It's basically three soups to try. I tried the cheese, the gumbo, and their signature onion. All of them were amazing. Especially the French onion. For appetizer, I ordered the carpaccio, the Fried goat cheese, and the spinach and artichoke dip. They were all very good. After all these appetizers we were pretty full, but I still wanted to try an entrée. I decided to go with the wedge salad and add steak to it. The steak was done to perfection and the wedge salad was cut perfectly so it wasn't overwhelming. The server we had was quick, and very attentive. As far as the ambience and the decor, it was very cozy and reminded me a bit of European restaurants where space is tight, but you're not feeling crowded. I would consider the attire of the patrons to be a little more dressier than casual based on what everyone was wearing but definitely did not feel stuffy. I will be going back because they have several more items on the menu that I want to try.“
“Classic Grand Haven Spot with good food and speedy service! We started with the Rangoon Appetizer which I'd definitely get again! These are not your typical mass produced Rangoons. They are special. For our dinners we got an Olive Burger and and a Perch Basket like any good West Michiganders. My wife is something of an Olive Burger expert and said it's a perfectly respectable effort and it gets the job done. She loved their ranch dressing. My perch basket was crispy and tasty with a nice light coating on the fish.Solid selection of drinks, nice atmosphere and downtown without being too downtown. This is a good spot for anybody passing through town to get dinner and drinks in a comfortable setting.“
“The food was very good. Service was excellent. Staff was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. I had breakfast one day and returned the next day for lunch. The cod was delicious and large enough portion to take some home. I will definitely be going back.“
“I couldn't have asked for a better spot for a first date than Stack's Chicago Style Eats! The cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering aroma set the perfect tone for getting to know each other over delicious deep-dish pizza and hearty Italian beef sandwiches. The attentive service and relaxed ambiance made for a memorable evening, and I can't wait to come back for another date night!“
“UPDATEWe decided to try it again. This time was a complete game changer. Our waitress, Jasmine, was very knowledgeable about gluten-free and what could be made. She was very transparent with us about the menu. We will definitely be returning our next visit ro Michigan. There's a HUGE difference in an intolerance and an allergy. I'm allergic to gluten, which means I can NOT eat it. I wish the servers knew the difference when they put an order on. Unfortunately, my family will never eat here again. Horrible place to eat if you have any type of allergy.“
“10 stars for Stanz!! The place with the great food plans!! We stumbled upon this gem after my wife looked them up for a nice place to take the kids!! They had tv's with a fireplace. comfy settings and our personal fav. the bottom of the blue ocean and the staff was so kind and friendly and attentive in every which way possible!! There for a quick bite!! Will be back many times after and this is why we go on adventures!!!! Get in the car!! Sing with the fam!! And grab a bite at one of the coolest cafe's in Grand Haven!!“
“What a great place to eat! There are always great options for various styles of food and fare. The staff are always well prepared and friendly. It's nice to see a locally-owned and operated business that is well-supported and does such a wonderful job. Keep up the great job and we can't wait to go back!“
“Absolutely wonderful place! Everything was a 10/10! We had Iggy as our server and he treated us so well! Service, food, and atmosphere exceeded expectations. The spinach and artichoke dip is to die for and the burgers are amazing!!! Also, the music they play is bussin as hell. Another shoutout to our man Iggy, love ya brotha! Not to mention, who wouldn’t go to a restaurant with a bomb name like the paisley mf pig!!!!!!!“
“This is a nice place to eat breakfast and lunch. It's good homestyle food from a "mom and pop" type place. My favorite thing about this place is they grind their coffee beans right there for the freshest coffee. Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long during busy times which its uncommon, but when it is a long wait it's not to bad. I believe the owner works with the staff. The staff are nice and are nice to converse with. Overall, I'd eat there more frequently if I had the opportunity.“
“The food was quite tasty, especially the deep fried mushrooms. The service was good and the waitresses took good care of us. They were nice and friendly. There's plenty of parking. It's a "homely feeling" place. The price was ok as well. It was quite packed and busy when we went but that's to be expected at noon during the lunch hour, though it didn't last long.“
“Had the Texas burger and it was one of the top 2 or 3 burgers I have ever had, including my own. I was full but still wanted just one more bite. It was that good. Was served with crinkle fries which were ok but some good hand cut or curly fries would have complemented that delicious burger much better.Dietary restrictions: Wife has gluten allergies, had a burger and said it was good and the bun was better then most. Was thick enough as to not fall apart as some do. Was most like a regular bun.“
“I have been going to US 31 BBQ since I was a kid in the 1980s with my parents who ate there when they were younger. They always said the BBQs were always excellent, and the taste/recipe never changed. They are not the traditional BBQs with a red sauce but more of a shredded meat in natural juices topped with a delicious, signature relish. I grab a meal whenever I am near and always am happy. Classic and delicious.“
“So my buddy and I grabbed lunch at Sporty’s Bar and it was good. Living here for almost 50 years I had not been here before but knowing that Jim is managing/owner now I wanted to try it out. We had burgers, fries, and ice cold beers. Although they can’t cook the burger to order (I like medium rare), the burger was still juicy and not overcooked. Atmosphere was very nice, not what I expected. Cool bar and clean. Bartender was great too and other diners were pleasant.“
“Hands down. The best breakfast place to eat in West Michigan! I highly recommend the Holland sauce eggs on a biscuit with beef. It is truly amazing and has a really nice sauce on top! The atmosphere is nice. However, this place is very busy, so make sure to get there early. If you want to get the worm! I just love everything about the place. And I can't wait to go back next time! The head cook here also is the cook at Doctor Rolf's barbecue. So they know what they are doing when it comes to cooking great food!“
“Pine Street Cafe went over and above for my grandson ! He wanted a Cinnamon roll from Pine Street for his Birthday! They wrote Happy Birthday on the boxes and even gave me a candle as you can see by the pictures it definitely made his day❤️ Thank you PINE STREET CAFE ! You are the “
“Our lunch experience was excellent at 794 Kitchen. The menu had a larger selection and a variety of options. We had the French dip, mushroom and Swiss smash burger, chicken strips with onion rings, and a kid’s cheese burger. Our food came out correct, hot, and tasted great. Our waitress was also very good, I think her name was Kate. She was attentive, friendly, and let us know about menu choices and if there were up charges for things such as extra sauce. The atmosphere was nice, bright, and clean. There were large windows along the two exterior walls with table seating and then high tops in the middle. There was a larger bar as well with seating. We will definitely go back and will recommend to others. I wish I had remembered to take some pictures.“
“My favorite breakfast place! All their dishes are delicious. Only downfall would be that it’s a bit pricey.Kid-friendliness: We went on my granddaughters birthday and had breakfast and they gave her a free sundae for her birthday! Made her day!“
