I really wanted to give this place a try on my lunch break so I went in alone. Since I was by myself they wanted 5 dollars for chips and salsa at the table. I ended up leaving because that is insane. Since when do Mexican restaurants not bring you chips and salsa? It was extremely dead in there. Disappointed and won’t be back.

Have lived in Oak Park for a year and finally tried the place everyone talks about! Delicious, great portions, homemade, lucky to have this in the neighborhood! Their refried beans are vegetarian which is perfect and hard to find. Will be back!
Always incredible! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Whether we do take out or dine in, it's always a positive experience. Papussa is our favorite! The fried ice cream is delectable!Kid-friendliness: They will make tacos without onions for children

This is authentic. There is Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine (El Salvador is in Central America). The owners are very nice and the place is clean and cheery with some colorful paper decorations.I have gotten takeout and dined in. A great place.
Underrated hidden gem. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Get the chicken sandwich (Panes Rellenos).
