The Walnut is a local staple. My father told me stories of him coming here as a child, teenager, then having his first date with his still significant other here. I decided to take my husband and we immediately understood the vitality of this restaurant. The food is immaculate and affordable, my husband and I ate lunch (quesadilla and mini tacos), plus drinks, and spent less than $30. The owner was there and checked in on us, asking how our meal was. Staff is great! Food is some of the best bar food in the state. The pizza compares with/better than most pizzerias. Price is excellent for both food and drink. The daily specials are always on Facebook and always good.
