“Best fish place, they have everything from cat fish to orange roughy, whiting, Perch and much more. The fried corn is kinda soggy, they might be using frozen corn on the cob, but the fish is fire! If you like fried fish come check this place out. The place is clean and the people are nice.“
“I like the place for a quick meal. Srimp, is good. Fish fillets could be a little thicker. But still not bad. Sometimes the fish can look like it's been sitting out to long. Service, doesn't seem like they care if they do business or not. Sometimes there on a personal phone while taking your order. If there was another place with the same food but better atmosphere, I would go there instead.“
“Exquisite!! More like fantastic. I ordered combo number 11 which contains 3 pieces of fish, 3 whole wings, 10 large shrimp and fries. The whole order was just perfectly cooked not hard nor soft all in between. Food not greasy which might be of them changing their oil regularly. I’ve been to a lot of Fish and Chicken places but this place in particular have an amazing seasoning for their fish chicken and shrimp. Definitely coming back again, thank you for your service. “I've been coming here since I was a kid and they're still one of the best places for a good lobster bisque and filet mignon. The service is usually pretty good and I always enjoyed getting to sit by the tennis courts to watch people play if/when they're there. Make sure you look up the hours and days they make the bisque otherwise you won't get it. Special days only but definitely worth it. I'd be sad if the restaurant closed because it's nice for a special occasion.“

“I picked up two chicken combos and they were fantastic! The chicken was moist and the coating was light and crispy. It actually crunched when we bit into it. The fries were perfect, too. Very crisp! This was our first time, we did a takeout and it was delicious! The woman who greeted me at the counter was friendly and gracious. She was also very helpful in helping me decide what to get. We’ll definitely return to Captain Jay’s! Hopefully they’ll keep their eye on the ball for consistency, and we’ll have another great experience in the future. Good work. “Best chicken tenders, best fried shrimp, best sauces, best sides. When I moved to Pontiac, this was one of the first restaurants that I tried. Everything I've had from here is delicious. If you're craving fried food, this is the way to go.“
