“Fresh Fish Fresh Food! The food and flavors are sooooo consistent! And the staff be on it! But order ahead like 20-30mins because they do get swamped with orders. But it's worth it. It's not salty. Not over seasoned. Just perfect. I always get the catfish nuggets they are big portions fyi!“

“I ordered 20p wing dings and fries. On Tuesday, August 22nd and I asked for my wings to be fried hard(they were). My fiancé and I split our dinner.I’m very picky when it comes to my chicken and they didn’t disappoint! I brought our food home and my fiancé like “did you get shrimp? It smells like you also got shrimp” I’m like no babe.On the other hand once I finished my food not even ten minutes later I started to itch on the left side of my face(I have an allergy to seafood).Not sure if they fry chicken and shrimp in same oil( restaurants usually don’t because of folks with allergies) or an employee isn’t changing their gloves but all I ask is be mindful of hand washing, sanitizing and changing your gloves frequently. And if it is a next time I will let the staff know upon placing my order of my allergy.“
“I picked up two chicken combos and they were fantastic! The chicken was moist and the coating was light and crispy. It actually crunched when we bit into it. The fries were perfect, too. Very crisp! This was our first time, we did a takeout and it was delicious! The woman who greeted me at the counter was friendly and gracious. She was also very helpful in helping me decide what to get. We’ll definitely return to Captain Jay’s! Hopefully they’ll keep their eye on the ball for consistency, and we’ll have another great experience in the future. Good work. “The food was so good my first time trying chicken is bomb the young lady who took the order was kinda rushing and you could barely get out what you want because she rushes you so the service to me wasn't great but the chicken is sooo good i will be back for the food but i hope the service is a little better.“
“The service was great. The lady taking orders was very helpful and polite. We were driving through the area, and my daughter wanted chicken. We didn't know at the time that their fries and fried chicken came with a lemon pepper powder. So i tried to brush off the powder. I do think they should be telling this to people when they order. My daughter said the chicken was delicious and everything was very fresh. It's not really a place you go sit down and eat. There's only a few tables inside, it's more for carryout.“
