“As a Thai American, I don’t usually eat at Thai restaurants in Michigan because many places don’t make authentic Thai food. I now have a place I can order all of my favorite Thai dishes, and all of the flavors are on point. The fried rice and pad Thai taste just like they do in Bangkok, and pad khing tastes like how my mom would cook it for me. They truly care about good food here, and I will be going back soon!“
“Really great, flavorful Thai food! The dine in space is cute, and the service was great! Everyone was so friendly. I ordered the Bangkok fried rice, medium spice. It was a huge portion, and they were not shy on the shrimp and chicken. I also ordered the tofu tod which was also really good. I would definitely come back!Vegetarian options: Everything can be made vegetarian“
“I started coming here for a couple of months since I got my new job and it is close bye. Addicted since. The best curry fried rice and best soups in the world. After getting it a couple times coworkers started joining in and now our whole office orders here together. Never had any complaints and they always have the best service. Highly recommend!!“
“What a gem! We walked over from our hotel and I'm glad we did! To start the hot and sour soup is thicker than I was used to, but I think it made it better. It was delicious! The Pho Special is fantastic! You have to try it out. Very friendly servers and all around great experience. I will be back to try other dishes out.“
“Really lovely place! The food came out fast and everything was affordable and delicious, especially the lunch deal. Medium spice level was actually perfectly medium spicy ❤️? Also love that you can order a small size soup. Thai iced tea was tall and creamy and delicious. The inside of the place is also really cute and clean. Would come back again :)Vegetarian options: You can get tofu as the protein in most dishes!“
“Their hot and sour soup is different from almost any other hot and sour soup I've come across before. It's lighter in color and less vinegary and is spiced perfectly (not just heat-wise but the flavor is slightly different from others). It tastes so good. It's my favorite and has been since I used to go to their other location on Rochester road (which I think isn't there any more) many years ago. I drive out of my way just for the hot and sour soup. It's so good to me that I've never tried their Tom yum soup so I can't review that. Their other dishes are very flavorful and delicious. Their prices are reasonable as well. There is only one other Thai restaurant in metro Detroit that has food which I would rate higher but only by just a tiny tiny bit. Orchid Cafe still gets 5 stars from me. Orchid Cafe is one of the best Thai restaurants in metro Detroit and I've never had a bad experience here.“
“This is a real gem in Auburn Hills. It's in a strip mall area so it's hard to notice. Had vegetable egg rolls which were excellent. Had grilled beef and also grilled beef vermicelli noodles. Both were good but I liked the beef better. They both came with egg rolls as well and although the looked like the appetizer ones, they were fried in more fish oil so they weren't to my liking as much. Next time I'll see if they can switch them. The chef for the fried rice was out when I went for maternity so wasn't able to try but will next time.“
“So happy I found this place! The sushi is consistently fantastic. The presentation, the freshness, the price point, this is a perfect no frills cozy spot for take away or a date. I get the C4 sushi special that comes with 6 chef's choice sushi and a spicy tuna roll. I tried the mix soba last time I was there and it was delicious! If you're in the area, this sushi will not disappoint.“
“Best sushi in the area and the Chinese food is good too! Only complaint is the almond chicken sauce is not the gravy I’m used to and i think they should have stuck with traditional BUT the chicken itself was big portions and cooked to perfection. A lot of other places it can be chewy but theirs was great. Their egg rolls are HUGE and delicious. I’d go there for those alone.“
“This was my first time trying Thai. A friend of mine suggested it and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. We started with a soup that came with a very interesting prawn cracker that was melt-in-your-mouth good as well as the appetizers of crab wontons and spring rolls. My friend ordered the Pad Thai and, since the menu was new to me, I asked the waitstaff for her recommendation. She selected the Curry Noodle for me. Of course, I had to taste both dishes. Everything was wonderful and I was pleasantly full by the end of the experience. I would recommend anyone who hasn't tried it before to give it a chance. You'll be glad you did.“
“WOW, just wow. Great place, menu items are well priced. Asked for Chicken Pad Thai Mild+, perfect spicy, the fried Wonton was insane and the spring rolls fantastic. The waiter knew exactly how i wanted that spice. And veggies were so fresh, like they get it every morning.“
“Best Thai food i've had in the area. A friend recommended so i just tried it. I like spicy food and the guy who answered the phone made sure that i was ordering the right spice level for my taste. The portion sizes are very generous and the flavors are great! Will be ordering again soon.“
“This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. This is a family business and Kai is one of the reasons I continue to come back. She knows I continue to order the same thing. Kai asked if I was going to select and new dish for the new year.....ummmm, no! lol Kai had me try the Kow Pad Nam Prik Prow years ago and I've been ordering it ever since. I order it mild since the peanut sauce already gives it a little kick. I make it my own by adding broccoli and chicken. The spring rolls are awesome too. It's always delicious and enough for two people or two meals. You need to give them a try! You won't be disappointed. Note: The dining room has been closed since the pandemic. They are still carry out only. I recommend you call your order in and then it's ready to grab and dash.“
“I had gotten chicken pad thai take out. 4/5 spiciness and whoah. I love hot food, Chile's and such. If you aren't used to eating hotter than a jalapeño then stay below a 3! Lol other than that the noodles were good, sauce was awesome and chicken had great flavor. I am no baby and finished the whole lunch portion! Will do it again but likely a 3/5 spicey ?“
“I found this restaurant by chance. I placed an online order with this restaurant, Thai Taste To Go, thinking I was ordering at the Thai restaurant we normally order from. Turned out to be a wonderful mistake. We order from here now almost weekly. Food is delicious and generous portions. My wife has celiac and they prepare gluten free, no cross contamination. Highly suggest fried rice, basil fried rice and red coconut curry.“
“These folks understand proper Wok cooking. For those not familiar with it, “wok hei” refers to the smoke induction when using a high heat pan. Literally “breath of the wok.”There is no place in southeast Michigan that does it better or more appropriately. I don’t know what the cook’s name is but he deserves a medal.“
“The people who own/run this place are some of the kindest I've met in the area. The food is consistently delicious, and they even throw in a little freebie sometimes. Got egg rolls the other day and they were SO good. We get the Bangkok pad Thai, and all my coworkers like it too. Fair warning, they spice it more than you think! Mild is not no spice, so unless you really love heat I'd recommend going one level down from what you get other places. While the prices have gone up since 2020, they're a small place and it's obvious they care about the quality of food they make. They give so much food you can easily make two meals out of it, three if you don't eat much. I can't recommend any pad Thai place in the area more than this one.“
“Excellent Thai food, professionally, prepared one of the few Thai restaurants, you can get papaya salad, which is phenomenal, very spicy even if you order medium it has a good amount of spice so be careful. I’ve had almost anything on the menu, but the yellow curry and green curry are phenomenal. Their service is great. They have two waitresses at all times never have to wait too long. Highly recommend to any family and friends“
“This is a very nice Thai take out. The restaurant was very clean. The woman who works the front desk is very nice and very helpful. I ordered the apple salad, which is amazing ,hot and sour soup which was really good , and main dishes pad pak beef mild ,and pad Thai chicken mild + both dishes were above and beyond on point with flavor and spice. I will be coming back here again for takeout. They do have a few seats you can sit at if available, but it’s better for takeout.Dietary restrictions: I did see they had gluten-free a few items on the menu I believe“
“Ordered carryout from Bk tonight, and it was delicious! The chicken satay is huge and tasty, the Tom Yum soup is fantastic with a great kick (ordered medium spicy), and the Thai drunken noodle dinner includes big chunks of fresh vegetables! We'll definitely be back!“
“Best Thai in the area at this price.Edit: Something changed. All the old servers are gone. Service is less than stellar. Food quality has taken a hit as well. Tried twice since the change and I do not think I will be back. There is better Thai around in the area now.“
“This place has become my favorite Asian cuisine restaurant, especially in Pontiac, maybe of Metro Detroit. It's a small establishment that does not look very impressive, especially from the outside, but the food has been fantastic. So far I have tried their Chinese and Thai foods, all have been some of the best I've tried, but their crab rangoons are easily the best I've ever had. I would return for those alone, but I'm excited to try new things each time. Their orange chicken is one of the best I've had too. Their pad thai is very good, but I have had others that are probably even tastier. Still, I'm sure their other dishes are amazing. I hope other will find this hidden gem and help to keep them in business! I want to keep trying their food for years to come! I may update this after I have tried more dishes, especially the pho, the bowls of it I have seen were huge and looked and smelled incredible. Oh! And the Thai tea and coffee are very good, very sweet though. And prices are very good and reasonable! Especially for the portion sizes.I should also mention the work staff! Usually seems like there is one waiter and one cook, but they are quick and polite. Not overly friendly or talkative, but their English is pretty good and they were easy to order with and open to some substitutions when asked, which was greatly appreciated.Vegetarian options: There may have been a few labeled vegetarian dishes, but many of the dishes could easily be had and enjoyed without any meat.Parking: Open lot with plenty of parking spaces, maybe not in the best shape, but no issues.“
“A new - to me - Thai restaurant. It's almost noon, let's go.The building is unusual, multiple businesses with a central hall accessible from the east or west end. A small version of a mall.Six booths and two tables welcome you.Menus are under the glass top of the tables, I like that, efficient & hygienic.Decided on Massaman shrimp curry. Comes with a cup of hot and sour soup. Great starter for a February lunch.I tried joking with the person who brought my food (as I usually do) but she was not a receptive audience. The food was delicious, and a good quantity, as well. Lunch portions are between $10 & $11.00, dinners run $13 - 14.00.The vibe was a little more sterile than I prefer but it wouldn't slow me down in return thoughts at all.Vegetarian options: Typical of Asian cuisine, most entrees can be ordered vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Ingredients are in the descriptionParking: About 15 spaces on the east side alone.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to navigate and park at tables/booths.“
“The food is supreme here compared to other Thai restaurants. I try to dine here often. Staff is friendly and The decor is much nicer than many mall restaurants. Pad Thai is very good and better than most others. I love a Yellow curry dish with chicken which comes in a large white bowl and rice on the side. I do request the addition of. sliced red sweet pepper.“
“Was not my first choice for Thai but was glad as heck to stop in.Attentive waitress and knew what she was doing. Food was very good and the place was clean. We each had the Drunken Noodles with Chicken, medium plus on the spicy side and Pad See-Ew also the same way, both were exceptional. Big note here, while moderately busy we didn't have to wait and that is so important.Job well done“
“This is my go to lunch spot! I eat here about 3-4 times a week for lunch as I work nearby & have never been disappointed, highly recommend this for authentic Thai food! Be careful with the spice level as they use real chili peppers in their spices! My favorite option is the build your own lunch/dinner specials with a pork spring roll!“
“Wow, what can I say. Best Asian food I’ve had in a long time. Peking duck was amazing, all of the various rolls I tried were great, exceptionally fresh. The drinks were also very well made, and tasted amazing, even the mocktails were very good, same amount of effort put into them as the normal cocktails. Dessert was also amazing, had the cheesecake.Parking: Ton of spots, very large lot.“
“I am a huge Thai food fan but have been struggling to find a good Thai place since Covid. I honestly had given up PLUS I’m super picky about my Thai food.I’ve passed by this place so often and for some reason I was thinking it would be watered down American Thai.Maybe because it’s in a nice strip mall off Woodward, near Square Lake.Boy, I was soooo wrong. The food was amazing. Very very flavorful. High quality. I had lunch with a friend who’s been to Thailand (more than once) and she was also very please with the food.I even had lentils in my dish, something I’ve never seen or tried before but again, so, so, so good.I watched, and they do a lot of carryout, which tells me everyone else already knew how good the food was, I guess I’m just late to the Thai food party. They have an assortment of organic teas which was a nice touch AND it’s very clean inside, which is a major ‘+’ for me.Pete, the owner, was there when we were there. Very personable man. He even came over to see how we liked our food once he learned it was our first time there. All in all, I feel like I can breathe a sign of relief and happiness, that I’ve found high quality, flavorful, Thai food.My new ‘go-to’ ?“
“I love it her the food warms my heart. I dance every time I go. The Thai tea is amazing. I was just telling my mom I want another. Service can be better I’ve had a time or two where I got the wrong dish. However the dish was good so I didn’t complain. Just pay more attention when we call pass that keep doing y’all. I love it.“
“Update.I’ve eaten here a good amount of times and tried a lot of their other dishes. I haven’t been able to consistently take photos so will add more in the future:- Pad Thai, Pho, Gang Gai, Pineapple Fried Rice: Easily 5/5 and consistent in taste.- Thai spicy wings . Not crispy and too drenched in the sauce.- Yum E Shan Salad, Chicken Laab . Both salads taste similar and not worth reordering… Heads up to ask for sauce on side to avoid saucy greens.Gangpah . Barely any meat. Sauce is pretty much soup. Lemongrass is overbearing.Restaurant . Well organized, clean bathrooms and kitchen.“
“The customer service was excellent. I had several different request and all were fulfilled with a smile. The only thing was the large order of drunken noodles with chicken (17 orders), some of the noodles were mushy, overcooked, not cooked right. The other orders (15 orders of Kow Pad)(14 orders of crab ragoon) and 17 orders od spring rolls) were great ??. Everyone enjoyed the rest.“
“The food tasted great! My only problem is I think the oil they used may have been old. If not for that, I would've given them 5☆. However, as good as the food was, I would definitely consider them a dinner option. The service was great! The staff were friendly! If you're in Southfield, Michigan, give them a try.“
“Updated review due to new name and ownership. ? Fast, friendly service. Hot and sour soup was good. Thai tea was delicious! Drunken noodles were yummy, but for like $15+ it only had 2 broccoli ? and just a couple mushrooms (I substitute them for the peppers) so that was disappointing. The spring rolls were so fresh, crisp, and hot... it was outstanding! My only issue here is with the atmosphere... they had drain flies buzzing around me and hanging out on the wall next to us while I was trying to eat, this was extremely annoying and gross. Gnats are usually smaller, these were bigger and fuzzy. The restaurant smelled intensely like bleach so I'm assuming they're trying to get rid of this issue.“
“Nice take out place! Worker was super nice and food was good! Rolls are a little smaller than what I’m used to but cheap enough that I can order two. I got a ginger salad, which was huge for price. The website kind of sucks, if you have any customization, I recommend calling to place the order.“
“The best Thai food we’ve had!! And we eat a lot of Thai food. They are so friendly and nice here and always get our order correct. Food is delicious, fast, and reheats well since they give such big portions. This has been our go to place for over 10 years and unfortunately moved further away so can’t have it as often. But will be coming here when we can!!Also brought a bunch of kids here to eat and they were so friendly and accommodating. And when we needed a bunch of napkins to clean up messes they were so nice about it.“
