“We stayed nearby for our son’s graduation ceremony from NMU and had the Friday fish and shrimp fry-yuuuuummmmmmyyyy! The servers were great and the bartender a hoot! Very homey vibes-so much so that we came back the next night for homemade custom pizza. Delish! Great fun!”

“They were open and cooking food after other resturants. when we went they told us they can cook just some of the foods. we got the soup and chiken wrap. both taste were good and their portion was great”

“Classic Midwest Diner done to perfection. I stopped here for the same reason I select most diners in the Midwest - they had the most cars in the parking lot. The locals know quality and this place does not disappoint. I had the egg sandwich AND added pancakes because they are so tasty. I know contemplating the best pancake is difficult but these folks nail it. The service is authentic Midwest nice and the atmosphere welcoming and local - with honor to the owners in the past posted in the dining room. Tasty.”

“We stopped here for a late lunch while traveling north. This little deli is a hidden gem - sandwiches on homemade bread and the most delicious homemade cinnamon roll I have ever tasted! The service was welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was quaint. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast or lunch.”

“Visiting family and we decided to check out Solbergs. So glad we did as the food was delicious! i had the broasted chicken, baked potato and side salad. everyone else had the steak special w shrimp scampi plus the Mac and cheese. All of it was amazing. Our waitress was also fantastic! Never had to ask for refills or anything as she was very attentive! Highly recommend!”

“The food was phenomenal! I was hesitant for the price, but the food was soooo worth it!
The people who waited on my table were super friendly and made sure we were happy with our food and service as well. I thought I was going to finish my burger but at last it had to be taken home. This was my first time coming here . Even right before close (they were still full of spirit and energy!) I will definitely be coming back again!

“Found Ashley at a craft show. She was super responsive via call, text, and email (called to confirm availability, email expectations/order, and text to confirm pick up). Was cool to see there were many flavors to choose from. Really creative and ran with what we needed. Got edible glitter and personalized cookies. Was really a great find and would use them in the future.”

“I give them 3/5 stars. For the most part, I judge a coffee shop based on how good their chai tea is (and trust me I’ve had some real bad chai before). I ordered a pumpkin chai here and it was so overly sweet I couldn’t even taste the chai and didn’t end up taking more than a few sips. Disappointed, I tried the donuts and found those to be incredibly sweet as well. Perhaps it’s just not my preference but my toddler wanted nothing to do with them either. Coffee was very hot. We had a 30 minute drive and my husband couldn’t enjoy it until we were on our way back an hour later. Good for long distance drivers/workers I suppose. On a positive note: good customer service, fair pricing, and convenient location. I think we will try again down the road.”

“Stopped in after visiting the fair…ordered a pizza, wings , and some Bosco sticks..our waiter ( i believe was owner or manager) was very friendly. We placed our order got our drinks fast and were supposed to have sticks out before other stuff. He kept us updated and apologized quite often on how long they were taking.. finally got them and were a lil overcooked but still good. Got the rest of our meal everything looked good. I let the waiter know the sticks were crunchy and he offered to take it off our bill no questions asked after he apologized once again and let us know he had a new guy…ate our food which was delicious. Paid our bill and as walking out I was informed from my wife her wings were a lil burnt but still good but did not want to make a fuss..I will definitely come back”

“I’m a little disappointed in my Polar today…. I usually get a portion like my hubby’s but for the price of the polar you would think it would be overflowing….Hmm.”

“Absolutely wonderful subway. I prefer this location over the ones in Escanaba any day. The bread and cookies are always top notch. My son has food allergies and the girl with short colored hair working the counter was mindful enough to ask if the 2 cookies I ordered could go in the same bag. It’s the little things that matter.My only critique is the tables tend to be dirty despite slow traffic and abundant employees.
