“I went through the drive thru on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy. I had 2 grilled cheese steak burritos and a drink. The food was prepared well, it didn’t seem like anything was lacking at all and it was probably one of the cleanest burritos I’ve gotten from Taco Bell in ages. The staff was very friendly and professional on the mic and at the window. Thank you for being one of the best around!“

“Went yesterday afternoon for the chicken taco roll box. The line was long, and I was in a hurry. The gentleman that responded at the drive thru was pleasant, but you could hear the stress in his voice. He informed me that he was aline there, and it would take a few minutes to complete the order ahead of me before he would take mine. He was as fast as he could be and got back to me within a reasonable amount of time. When I ordered, I was told what I wanted would take about 4 minutes because he had to cook them. I ordered something else. He was prompt at getting my order together and to me. I did see several people get out of line and leave because it was taking longer than usual. Under the circumstances, I feel the gentleman was doing his best. I know it is all about money, but in a case like that, I don't feel the store should be open. It was a disservice to the customers and the empoyee. The one worker was under tremendous stress and taking the brunt of people being upset over something he had no control over. I am writing this review to give props to the gentleman who was doing his job and staying pleasant and professional under the stress. You deserve a raise, Sir.“

“Went for the first time to celebrate my daughter in loves birthday last night and OMG. Everything was AMAZING.. From the service..to the food.. The best margarita..to the vibe..joined the wait list before i started getting ready at home lol..a 2 hour wait on a Friday night was worth it. They come out and sing for your birthday along with a shot of tequila? i cant wait to go back for happy hour??“

“The food here is mind blowingly amazing and they’re open all night. Highly, highly, highly recommend eating here. It’s so hard to pick what to get—can’t go wrong with double layer nachos or chicken fried chicken with gravy. Or both.“

“What a fun find in Berkley! No nonsense taco joint with simple food done fantastic. Chicken, steak, and pork tacos were all fabulous in their own way. Excellent fresh salsas and wonderful margaritas. We just got back from a week in Cabo. The only thing missing from Casa Amado was the ocean view ? - although the dining area is quite nice. “Such a great thing when everything comes together in wonderful harmony! Taques is one of those gifts! The atmosphere and the aesthetics are so cool! Relaxing, vibey, colorful, fun and the room just dances along with the food and drinks! They will have an outdoor area to dine as well when the warmer weather comes around. The service is friendly, inviting, welcoming and they help to make the experience even better! As good as that is, the food is the star of the show! Everything was delicious! From the steak alambres, to the tempura shrimp tacos, my gosh, so good! The tempura shrimp tacos will be on repeat! We also had enchiladas and the birria tacos and it was all mouth watering and satisfying! They have house made salsas, great chips and the queso chorizo dip did what it was supposed to do! “Enjoyed a delicious dinner here! The ambiance was inviting and service great. It was a weeknight, so not busy. Both the chicken and cauliflower tacos were delicious as well as rice and bean sides, and of course, the adult beverages also. The salsa was good and spicy. I recommend this gem of a restaurant.“

“I love this place so very much. This should have been reviewed by me, waaaay sooner. Tacos, quesadillas, and horchata. Outstanding. The best in the area by a landslide. Authentic, clean, and time + cost efficient. My brother put me on to here a few years back and now I am a regular. I must’ve brought at least a dozen diff people here that’s how much I love it & believe just about everyone will! “It looked like the servers were closing up for the night, so I double checked they still for sure wanted us to eat. They did! And they were so kind and welcoming and offered information we didn't know without having to ask. I have been told if you see el pastor on the menu, order it! I knew enough on my own that lengua is a rare treat so yes definitely ordered that and got a beef Taco. All superb! All cooked perfectly. We were just happening by from an hour and a half trip. Now we know that when we go to Westland again we go to El Mariachi! I'm so bummed I didn't see the elote on the board at first because my little boy loves that! So we will have to come back. “This is an authentic taco truck right here where it belongs, across the street from taco bell. Burritos are it. Tacos are okay. Beans and rice are really nice. “We ordered carry out via calling in, and were completely floored with the quality and flavors!I got the supreme combination, my wife for the supreme nachos.(We could have easily only gotten the nachos it was so large)The guacamole: hands down one of the freshest I have ever had, and competes with my wife's!Would we order here again? HECK YEAH!For those that are not a fan of onions, they do put onion in their guacamole. I didn't mind, but I know others that do.The supreme combination plate was soooo filling. “The food was great! I had the meatloaf special and it was very interesting. The meatloaf had the taste of a normal meatloaf, but instead of serving it with ketchup, it was served with gravy. I was skeptical of the combo, but it was a really great combo, especially paired with the mashed potatoes. The service was great, and all the waitresses worked together to help if the other was busy, so we were always taken care of. I will say the biggest complaint is that you will smell like the cooking when you leave the building. It was a small price to pay for a great meal.“

“Listen! Mr.Miguel’s was a good time! The atmosphere is everything. The music was playing in the parking lot before we even got inside, we walked right into good music and bingo. Very fun atmosphere, friendly, and age-wise mixed crowd. The food exceeded our expectations! Make sure you go “loco style” on your fries and please get a prickly pear lemonade! “Went looking in my neighborhood for a big can of Hominy to make Pozole. I way overpaid for the can of hominy, BUT, my daughter saw the eating area and asked if we were eating.So we sat down to eat, I ate the enchilada lunch, and my daughter had the milanesa kids lunch. They were both delicious. The chicken was juicy and breaded and cooked so good. although the portion of rice was small, it was fresh, hot and delicious. The refried beans were also very good. And while i probably wont make it a point to go here, I would stop if I was in the area and hungry.“

“This hidden diamond near 8 mile road is THE BEST mexican food you will have outside of Mexico. I'm a Texan and telling you this. I started coming to this place when my parents moved to Ann Arbor, MI. My godparents wanted to have family dinner and took us to Tijuana...this was in 2002. I now live in Columbus, Ohio and travel here once a quarter for this restaurant. The favors are so rich, fresh, and DEEP. The salsa is drinkable. You literally don't even need chips. Everything is made from scratch. Someone's grandma is in the back there making this ( Yes, the owners aunt and mom use to work in the kitchen supervising the meals. This is how often I was coming here! Extremely nice family). I have never had a bad meal! My personal favorites or the Mimi Chims and Chicken enchiladas! If You are in Detroit...stop by! You will leave with a smile and ready for a NAP“

“Very good! I ordered two chicken tacos and elote, and the food was hot and prepared quickly. The salsa that came with the tacos had great flavor but it was pretty spicy! The elote was a little too sweet for me, but still tasted great. “I'm pretty impressed with this place. On the weekends they offer a self serve tender meat by the pound. Beef, lamb and pork. They cook their chips to order which I really appreciate as I don't like salt on mine and they stay fresher longer. The tacos are only 2 bucks and they are nice portions and on Tuesdays they offer 10 tacos for 12.99! I'm all over this place and recommend. I was there yesterday and I'll be back tomorrow lol.“

“Stopped by to check out the trucks at the food truck lot. I ordered 2 burritos. The food was fresh made but seemed to take a long time. I asked for no cilantro and I got what seemed like extra cilantro and no onions. It was even written on the wrapper but not right. Disappointed and the rest of the food was fine but unremarkable.“

“I've lived in Melvindale for 17+ years and only been in this store probably 2-3 times has a veggie burrito like yearsss ago but as my kids got older they ask me if we can go get a snack I've let them and just recently they went for lunch and I tried the veggie burrito again it was AMAZING ! so today we tried it and added shrimp and I grabbed a few other things like tres leches cake OMGGGG !!! “My daughter had a small wedding and everyone that went to the wedding went to Don Tacos for dinner after. There were 19 of us. Our server was very friendly and organized. The food was wonderful. “Ordered a burrito while wife was in Big Lots. Chicken burrito was large - very large and seasoned well. It was a little loose, though. The place was clean. One cook seemed to be training another. The beeping that another review mentioned was the quality check associated with the POS system. No problem for me if they are proactively trying to make my order correctly! “There was a downpour minutes after I placed my order. While I was getting ready to brave the rain, the young lady who took my order knocked on my car window. She had an umbrella in one hand and my order in the other. I told her that she didn't have to do that but she said it was no problem. “Our go to date night spot! Food is always consistent and delicious, my favorite is the Caldo de pollo. It's full of rich, yummy broth and lots of chicken and veggies. Today I ordered Pollo de San Jose and the bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both were so flavorful and filling, I will be ordering each one again on a future visit.“

“Food is excellent. Staff are friendly polite and professional. The only problem I see with this business is that sometimes it is very difficult to get a place to park. Even with additional parking across the street behind the tobacco shop. But when a restaurant is this busy or tells me that they have really good food. Nobody likes to wait but if you go somewhere that you're right in and out and you don't see very many people you can almost bet the food is not going to be that great. Anything that's really good is worth waiting for.“

Their street tacos are a little small compared to other places I have been to. But don't let that fool you. They are flavorful and filling. Their taco shells are made fresh. You see them making them right when you walk in. Everything was clean and nice. For two people for lunch was under $15. Service was fast and kind. “First time going there. I ordered a home made corn quesadilla stuffed with mushrooms, epazote, cheese and grilled onions. My wife ordered a huarache, which is an oval corn made, thicker dough like tortilla topped with half Mexican chorizo and half chopped steak or carne asada with fresh cheese sliced nopalito or tender cactus, onions and green and red salsas.Both were delicious.
