It's hitting the easy button when we want delicious food and don't feel like cooking. Pizza is very good, usually get a Martha's Vineyard salad and bread. Easily satisfies my family of 4.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Starting with the fresh baked bread with butter is a top notch move. Food and wine were delicious. Such a great find! The Clam Chowder is a 10!

My wife and I tried Deer Lake Inn recently and had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. The manager was very apologetic and sent us a gift card good for any of their restaurants and asked us to give them another chance. I appreciated the gesture. So my wife and I decided to take her grandma out to the Rochester Hills location for Valentine's Day. My wife called and scheduled a reservation 8 days in advance. When we showed up, the hostess said there was no reservation for us. Then she said "Are you sure you didn't call the other restaurant?" A quick check through the call log showed we DID call the CORRECT place, but they lost our reservation. I'll add that when we had our bad experience at Deer Lake Inn, our server made a similar condescending comment about whether we called the right restaurant. Luckily, they were able to seat us fairly quickly anyway. Our server this time in Rochester Hills did a much better job. I forgot her name, but she was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Younger girl with long, curlier hair and glasses. The food was also much better at this location compared to Deer Lake Inn, although the menu is smaller. The creamy clam chowder was delicious. My wife's grandma and I both had the blackened salmon sandwich it was also really good. My one complaint about the "service"... some old guy (I'm guessing it was a manager ) kept coming up to us and engaging us with small talk and banter. That isn't necessarily a problem on its own, but the guy basically gave us a shower every time he came over. It was really gross to see all of his spit spraying out of his mouth reflecting in the sunlight that was shining through the window. If my food would've been at the table, I would've said something right then and asked for a new meal. I got grossed out drinking my beer after thinking he might've added a little splash. Anyway, while this experience wasn't AS bad as my last trip to a Kruse and Muer establishment, I will not be wasting money at their restaurants again. The food is way overpriced and I've had to deal with too much unpleasantness every time. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the soup was good (although my wife's was cold and had to get a new one) and the server did a really good job. I thought about calling up there and complaining again, but my goal isn't to berate underpaid FOH managers so I can get a gift card. I just want to enjoy a nice meal with my family and I see that is too much to expect from a Kruse and Muer restaurant.

Waited over 45 minutes on a carry out at 2:30 on a Wednesday with them not being busy on the inside at all. Kind of ridiculous for a carry out. I wouldn’t even wait that long sitting at a table. Will not be back to this location. The one on Main Street in Rochester has way better service and employees.
Cute place and good food and service. Just an fyi they do not have a full bar, but do have a cocktail list and wines It was a bit difficult for us to find, as it is tucked away.

It's a great location, because there are no others like this in the village of Rochester. We're always pleased with their service and their food. Highly recommend!

Food was just ok, They double charged me and when I called to get a refund all I got was a runaround and while I was promised a refund a month later no refund and a ton of wasted time trying to contact a manager. Very Disappointing

Just like the many other reviews on here, the bread is delicious. I got the filet with shrimp scampi, and the sauce was phenomenal. The portions were a tad bit small, but it is expected with places like this. My boyfriend got the angel of the seas pasta, and he said it's one of the best seafood pastas he's had in a while.Although the food was great, service was just ok. Our waitress seemed like she was already done for the day.
Very good meal, american
