Kroger collects your personal and financial data at check out. On my last shopping trip, I swiped one form of payment at checkout but the Kroger scanner "selected" a different credit card that was still in my wallet for payment. Despite multiple denials from Customer Service, an assistant manager finally admitted this was "a fluke" and refunded my money. Cash withdrawal scam at Kroger. When you got through the checkout line with a card, you are asked if you want cash back. No mention of a service fee is on the screen, YET. You enter your PIN and get your card back and Once you are about to finalize the transaction, suddenly a message about a fee for the cash back appears asking you if you accept it. If you hit "no" the entire transaction is cancelled, not just the cashback and you have to run your card through all over again....read full review
