I had a business meeting in Saginaw from Lansing and decided at the last minute to grab some baked goods to share. Google maps gave me some choices of stops along the way, and Maria Elena's grabbed my attention. I am so glad I stopped! These goodies were so tasty!! She had four different flavors of empanadas ❤️ and the cookies were amazing. Everything was very affordable. I will stop again.

Go there for my shells for enchiladas n tacos.
There wasn't enough pumpkin in the empanadas and the sweet bread around it just didn't have any of the flavor of Mexican food I'm used to.
Just found a better tamale..they are out of this world, and the cookies oh yummy.. I will drive from Bay City to shop there from now on.
