“Great place to try a variety of local beers. They bring in unique options that can be hard to find. They now have bar shack options too. Bartender is always friendly. You can order food from the other vendors in the Market and eat in the Community bar. They have a high chair available as well.“

“221 has the best cocktails in town hands down. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The food is excellent, the only negative is that spicy dishes aren’t as spicy as I would like, but I think that’s catering to local tastes. The steaks (I’ve had ribeye and top sirloin) have all been great, very tender. I give them bonus points for cooking them appropriately, if I order medium rare, I get actual medium rare, not medium. Try the BC Ribeye, awesome meal.“

“It's a small place with a good dining experience. The ambience is very fresh with the usage of white, real and green color as I recall. The place is located right near to silver beach and has very good tacos and rice bowls. I ordered a chicken rice bowl which by the way was spicy but I loved it. The quantity looks small but as you start eating it, you will definitely find it filling. Loved the place, it was a treat from one of our office friends for lunch. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and I will visit it again in future when I happen to visit the place.“

“This was our first visit to 221 since the redesign. My wife and I have enjoyed cocktails on their rooftop terrace many times, and their cocktails are of the best in the area. If you are a whiskey aficionado, 221 has the most robust selection of whiskeys for 45 miles, the kind of selection I would expect from a whiskey bar in a major city. The main restaurant is now long and narrow, with a dark ambiance that really sets the tone for a special meal. From the back of the restaurant, it looks like a place that sits between two skyscrapers in a major city, as if you could walk outside onto the streets of Chicago. There is something romantic--in both meanings of the word--about being tucked away like this for dinner and a drink with someone special. My wife had a French 75 (and a second), and I had the Brown Butter Old Fashioned. She enjoyed hers, I enjoyed mine. The Brown Butter is what you would imagine to be a butterscotch cocktail to taste like, minus the sweetness, which I enjoyed. Our server, Maya, was wonderful. A minor hiccup, I asked for a one ounce sample of the Sea Salt Stout and she brought me a full pint. I chuckled and explained that I was only looking for a taste, which she allowed me, and then removed it from the table. We were not charged for it, of course. This was our first time having their filet mignon. I've had filets everywhere, I consider it the bread-and-butter of restaurants that dedicate an entire page of their menu to beef. Some restaurants over-complicate a filet, like drowning it in a moat of (insert broth here) or cover it in some clever but ridiculous glaze. I was happy to see there were no parlor tricks here. What was delivered was what was expected, and their chef delivered a medium-rare finish of the highest standard. We spoke briefly with the owner, who recognized us from our last visit for cocktails over the summer. 221 remains one of the top tier fine dining restaurants in St. Joe, and you should certainly check it out.“

“Honestly the first restaurant I've been able to take all 4 kids to and have all of them find something they'll actually eat! Major bonus points for having an interesting and diverse menu for the adults as well!Vegetarian options: My daughter had the best roasted eggplant sandwich she'd ever had!Kid-friendliness: The kid's menu is perfectly named and portioned. The seating isn't all that great for little kids, but for 10+, it's great.“

“ (Highly recommended!) (Highly recommended!) (Highly recommended!)Bread+Bar restaurant needs to be the top restaurant in Southwest Michigan (I only say Southwest Michigan because I haven't experienced all of Michigan restaurants). Located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, this rustic, magnificent restaurant is a place to dress causal or classy and eat some high-end delicious food. It's my favorite all time so far!The food is second to none. You experience great taste with your eyes before taking a bite. The presentation and intention of these dishes are phenomenal. I also enjoyed the seasoning of the food. There is no need for salt and pepper as I noticed there wasn't any on the table. From start to finish, every meal was exciting to eat, and did not disappoint. The service is impressive. We were blessed to be served by Ivy. She helped us through the menu, kept our water glasses full, served with a great smile, and gave an honest opinion on meals. Everyone else served well, too!The atmosphere is beautiful. Lovely decor, awesome music, great table setup, clean environment, and lovely space to sit and enjoy before the meal. The bathrooms were awesome as well!Completely blown away by the efforts and meals at Bread+Bar. Great experience!Vegetarian options: Awesome vegetarian menu items.Parking: Medium size free parking lot and nearby free street parking.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't consider this restaurant kid-friendly. The vibe is for adults. ❤️Wheelchair accessibility: Nice size restaurant for wheelchair accessibility.“

“The server was excellent. The noise level was a little high. Recommend installing noise-canceling pictures...etc. The stuffed shrimp was excellent. I asked if everything was fresh and the server stated "yes". Nothing is Frozen? No.Not sure about the lobster tail as it was tough. Possibly it was just overcooked.I will return soon to see if the food is the same or if this was just an off night.“
