“The food here is great. This was our 1st time here. We were here all the way from Wisconsin for an event and i asked who got the best soul food in town and was told to stop by Cornbread. Amazing food, and service, and the place was clean. The Staff went above the call of duty. Ms. Donya if you see this, you are a JEWEL! This lady was right on time with everything. We visited the restaurant on Friday upon arrival to Michigan and was the first customers on Sunday 11:30AM as we were leaving from Michigan to return home. Go here, you will not be disappointed. The PRICE IS RIGHT.....and the Staff is BRIGHT!”

“The food was amazing! It was our first time and we loved it. The service needs a lot of work. There was a line but it moved fast and we were quick to place our order. It took 40 minutes to receive the food after ordering. Everyone else was receiving their food after a reasonable wait time except me and the couple that ordered right after us. I had to ask at the 30 min mark and then finally received it at 40 min. We ordered to eat in but received it all in a take out bag. We ordered a #1 (received a #1 but charged a #2 on the receipt) a #3 ( but only received 1 slider, tender was missing) and a #4 (but received and extra slider). We made it work since we got the total # of chickens that we asked for and could not wait any longer for them to correct it. The dining room is a mess! We were there for well over an hour and not once did anyone come out to wipe down tables as diners were leaving. Everyone that came in had to sit at a dirty table if they wanted to dine in. An employee, in uniform, was eating at the far back right corner table during dinner rush ( Friday night 5:30). When the employee finished they also did not wipe down the table and left it dirty for the next diner. The overall service is unimpressive for a location that just recently opened (Cicero, NY). We will go back because the food was fabulous but we will not be dining in and will definitely check our order before leaving.”

On top of crunchy Fries with Garlic Sauce Toum OMG perfection. We shared could only eat half, a good bowl of Lentil Soup. $22 for the large will easily feed 4 hungry folks, making this a mega deal 😅. Got to meet Nick the owner, who lives in the back LOL 😂. Not really he's got a family to get home too. Fast friendly service, great food and low prices. “Ordered a custom German chocolate cake. It was totally perfect!! Everyone that tried it loved it. Triple layer cake with the coconut style frosting between the layers and a delicious buttercream frosting outside and drizzle and nuts. It was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. Even better the next day with my morning coffee. I’m really not a “cake person”, and even I couldn’t stop eating it. Bought some cupcakes and a sugar cookie for the road when I picked up the cake and all of that was amazing as well!”

“If you are a Kpop fan and love with the Korean culture then this is the place for you! It’s one of the few places in Michigan where we Kpop fans can gather and connect with each other! I was just there and the cafe allowed Kpop fans of ASTRO to do a vigil memorial for the death of Moonbin! I wanted to do something to say my goodbyes to the artist and I seriously appreciated that they provided that space for people to do that and other Kpop events! Plus the food is always very yummy too! ✌🏻😉💜🫰🏻🇰🇷”

“I only had a sandwich and some mozzarella sticks but those were good and other people seemed happy with their meals - but mostly here to say the atmosphere / service at this place is unmatched. Amy & Heather who I got the opportunity to have as bartenders and servers both times I came (and they’re sisters! How fun) both went beyond the call of normal service. This place was the closest nearby spot to an emergency vet I took my dog to after an attack. I was obviously a bit solemn when I came in the first time for lunch and immediately they asked me if I was okay and both came around the bar to hug me when tears started welling and listened to my story and showed so much care and compassion for my poor doggy. When I came back a week later they recognized me IMMEDIATELY and asked how my boy was doing and were overjoyed when I said he’s healing well and getting stitched up today. I also wanted to come back to get their names just so I could be sure to mention them by name in a review because they certainly deserve it. Outside of that, clearly they (and the rest of the staff here) have compassion and familiarity with mostly everyone who walked in the door. They impressively remembered names, usual orders, and asked specific questions about peoples’ lives (and I was sitting at the bar for a long time while I waited for my dog both times and got to witness LOTS of interactions) - all were overwhelmingly positive. I love love LOVE this place. I live in Detroit and rarely come to the suburbs unless I need to - but I might have to start making Mr. Joe’s a regular stop ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“Our server was Danielle she made sure that we were informed of all of the options on the menu and drink options including mocktails. She had a great recommendations and topped it all off with a great conversation the food was fantastic everything was made to order and we also work formed of things we could add to the pizzas and things that could be taking off. And it's a plus. You can tell that Danielle takes pride in her work and takes the time to have a conversation about all the questions that her guests have. Who was delicious absolutely freshly made. The food came very very fast and was very very hot. The starters were delicious we got the wings and all had personal pizzas. “Had been going to this place for a while before the hostess on the phone told me their spice levels. Mild, Med, Hot, then 1X - 10X extra hot. She told me 5X is about habanero and 10X is about ghost pepper level.

I tried 4X and it was close to the hottest thing I've eaten lol. Even got advice on what I could do if it was too spicy. Very pleased with my order, I don't know if I'll go hotter than that, but the food was very flavorful in its own right, disregarding the spice.

Like I said, been getting taken out here for a while, and will definitely come back for more”

“I want to give a huge shout out to Here's the Scoop Ice Cream for showing up at a moments notice to Edison Elementary in Westland today for their field day when the Kona Ice truck we booked and paid for did not arrive. Here’s the Scoop came within 2 hours of my inital panicked phone call with enough ice cream for all 450+ kids. If you are in need of an ice cream truck in the future, please consider them. They really pulled through today for all our kids and we couldn’t be more grateful. 💙🍦”

“This place is a landmark if you ask me. It's inside the Penobscot Building to start, which is worth a 10 minute walk through. l digress. From the amazing host and waitstaff to the owner who is regularly in house and working hard, to the phenomenal food they serve it's one of the best places to eat in an ocean of good restaurants. Watch for daily specials like Fish and Chips and the Greek Gyro. Gyros are why I go, but the patstitso, kebobs, fish, salads, and so much more are on point! If you like fast service for carry out this place is perfect. Parking can be tricky so I hit a spot on Fort Street a block or so away, or one of the lots. Go today!!!”

The salads were tasty. The burgers were well cooked. The ribs were a good size. The drinks stayed filled.

But, I was invited in with warmth and incredible customer service as the two gentleman were eager to serve me one of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever had. The steamed meat; with flavor to spare to the crunchy bread on the outside to warm pillow heaven inside. And the mayonnaise they use is fantastic! This is a great location with immaculate service, clean store amazing food and hospitable staff that work hard to deliver you what you deserve- A mouthwatering sandwich made by even better people!
