“Food was amazing. We got the Beef Patties, Oxtail Dinner, and the Rasta Pasta which were all delicious. The only thing I’d like to add is that you should expect a bit more of a wait time due to the high demand. The wait is worth it! I’ll definitely be back soon.“
“Small take out restaurant that I was recommended by several customers who come to my beauty supply store. Finally decided to try this place out for our company lunch. The foods were amazingly good. Pick up was quick and easy. We especially liked jerk chicken and curry chicken. We will definitely do another lunch here soon.“
“I ate at Chef Topey’s Kitchen with my children when we made a visit to Detroit. Chet is such a kind man. The food was DELICIOUS!!! From my baby to my six-year-old to my teenagers, to my young adults everyone was beyond satisfied. The food was so good. I tried to make it back before I left but wasn’t able to. I can’t believe some of the negative reviews. I guess nothing is perfect all the time but I would DEFINITELY go!!! See for yourself!!! Oh! And one of my kids is Jamaican and cooks for his family’s restaurant where in Nashville and he loved it too. Go!“
“-Atmosphere-The atmosphere is nice, plenty of room for seating and has a nice low-lit, club type ambience with good music and good times all around. Problem for me was my table was shaky as hell but I put a napkin under it and kept up the good vibes. They had a DJ and a dance floor and everyone was having a great time. Definitely for the grown and sexy crowd and if you like to do the hustle, this is where it’s at.-Service-The service was good, the server was nice but I think she may have been a little busy and overwhelmed so it could have been a little better but all in all it was good solid service.-Food-I honestly think I had the best what soup that I ever had here. The food was hot, tasty, and fresh to order. The prices were reasonable for the style of food and the portions were nice that I had leftovers. The drinks were good and reasonable. Definitely a must try.4/5 ? for me, would definitely recommend and will return again.“
“Fish and chicken was hot and fresh tasting. The shrimp was perfectly fried, the breading wasn’t too thick. It was a little salty for me but my family loved it. We had the orange roughy, cod, and salmon. Nothing was fishy smelling or slimy.“
“The pernil (roasted pork) was good, and the arroz con gandules with yellow rice. The fried pork was kinda dry. The horchatas were really good, and the empanadillas. The mofongo was ok, it was our first time trying it, will probably give the leftovers to the pets... But the desserts were really good, the flan and Nutella empanadilla.Street parking was easy, and the ladies' room was clean and well stocked.“
“Love the look and feel of the place. Easy access right off the Lodge on James Couzens. Easy parking felt secure. Live entertainment sets a very sophisticated vibe. The jazz band on Wednesdays is incredible. A great way to break up the workweek.“
“I had lunch at the Big Beaver location. The restaurant theme was awesome. Very beautiful atmosphere and the restaurant was spotless. The red snapper I ordered was the best I ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly, the presentation and the flavors were amazing. The fish was very fresh and flavorful. The staff came by the table every ten minutes to see if I needed anything. I can't remember the last time I had service that good. The staff was very friendly and professional. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. It really was a great experience!!! Great job !!!“
“6 mile and Southfield areaOrders the chicken and shrimp alfredo and a side of pork chops. The pasta was good seasoned well but has a lot of peppers. The pork chops were great nice, hot, and seasoned. The wait time is because it is like cook to order in there, which is good to me, but just be ready to wait, but it's worth it.The majority of the customers who were coming in were ordering the ox tails. This place has a ?? and a soul food menu, and the pineapple ginger lemonade must be slapping.“
“This is one of my very favorite restaurants! I've been going for almost 10 years! The food is wonderful. If you like fish, be sure to try the Assa Tibs....excellent! The Yemesir is also one of my favorites. If you go on a weekday during the early afternoon, they have an awesom lunch buffet! Service is wonderful. Perfect for a datenight, a meal with the family, or a special treat for yourself. -EW“
