Sat Nov 5 Came in with my elderly parents. Dad with walker. Needed close seething to door. Waitress abrupt not friendly. Ordered us to sit in specific area. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. She threw everything at our table. Never greeted us with respect. Very unfriendly. Food was just ok.Resturant not that clean. We all agreed and told our family we would never return.

Got the Lakeside Combo meal with a bowl of cabbage soup (extra cost but worth it) Ate half of my food. Meal comes with fresh rye bread and crackers for soup. Pierogis were sweet cheese and chose fresh kielbasa.

It's a mom and pop restaurant that has awesome polish food. Good size portions and they have atleast 4 diffrent soups every day!
The restaurant's ambiance is simply enchanting, with soft lighting and elegant decor. It's the perfect place for a romantic evening.

The atmosphere is like a run down banquet room. It's pretty bad. Could really use an update and a deep clean. The soda machine was apparently broke because our drinks came from warm 2 liters. The food was absolutely terrible; sourkraut was not sour at all, more like boiled cabbage. Overall not the best experience. Will not be back.

If you like Polish food then you should definitely try here! They have Polish dishes like stuffed cabbage, city chicken, pierogis, etc. They also have sandwiches and salads also. Service was quick. Food was delicious. I had stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes and veggies. Good food for the price!
The cook does not know how to cook an omelette. Only an in experienced cook cooks the ingredients in the egg. Not to mention they were so cheap with the ingredients. Said it came with cheese found none. Had to go three layers in to even find an ingredient. You should be ashamed to have let that out of the kitchen. Husband asked for a side of gravy and after the waitress talked to the kitchen said $5. With how little there omelets are id hate to see what $5 in gravy got you. I sent mine back and should have sent his too. The older lady who checked us out didn't even ask how it was like she didn't even care. Worse place I have EVER BEEN TOO. Take you business and money somewhere else the restaurant is a sorry excuse for a restaurant.

Being Polish I have very high expectations for there Polish combination platter. It's as close to my Mother's cooking as I've ever had. It was that good I returned the following week and ordered it again. Highly recommend!

When ever I'm in Michigan visiting family or on business I go to Lakeside. This time I brought my son. We came in and were immediately greeted by a very nice young lady named Brooke. She sat us and even laughed at my corny jokes.The food was perfect. I'm from Detroit but I live in San Diego. The food and atmosphere are always something I loom forward to. My aunt turned me on to this place. Ya gotta love family.Great job folks. See you next trip.

The food is excellent!! Specialty is Polish. All the servers are very polite, accommodating and friendly. The carpeting is worn as well as the paint, etc, but I don't go there because it's pretty, again the food is excellent!!!
