Very nice grocery store. We visiting and it has a wonderful selection of goodies. Friendly staff. Prices are high - as they are everywhere.

Lot of times when I scan items to check out at this grocery store self check-out lane, the lane check-out scan computer screen monitor says cashier has to be contacted. I can even just scan one small product and it does this to me. I don't have this much trouble at other retail/grocery stores with check-out machines. I went to Meijers recently and scanned an item at the check-out lane. Again, the error message came and I had to get a self-checkout land cashier to deal with the check-out lane machine. The cashier walked over and kept pointing everything with her middle finger. I got ticked off so I mentioned to this female cashier that I noticed there people who likes to point things with their middle fingers a lot. This female cashier actually said to me she wished she could give middle finger to some people. I'm not kidding, she actually said to me, the customer who shopped her and my family shopped here for years. I was not even rude to her at all. I know that there have been lots of times where cashiers and managers here at Meijer grocery store has gossip about customers in very disgusting negative, even sexual sick ways before. Years ago, I even heard a Caucasian male cashier mocking a Hispanic guy customer by mocking Spanish accent, while speaking to the him. Stockers also like to block isles with their crates. There was even a time someone used a bathroom and left poop all over the toilet and the floor. How long has that been left like that? This isn't the only place I've noticed the professionalism has been flushed down the toilet. More and more businesses in Michigan, especially at Traverse City location has become even more terrible over the years. Thank God for judgment day! I don't think founder of Meijer will be too proud of them.

I go to the Traverse City Meijer store and I think it has the very best produce of any store around.

They have everything in the world!! From tires to plants to clothes to ice cream. One stop shopping!

Online ordering is a complete scam operation. I get ripped off by $15 - 20 every time I use the service and they make it a totally pain to recover any of the overcharges. The time they put 6 bottles of wine in a single plastic bag was fun too. Seriously, this is the most horrendous online ordering service of any store EVER. Prices in the new store are higher than the local organic food specialty store. TC Meijer currently offers nothing worth the pain of shopping here. Fred Meijer is rolling in his grave!

Meijer is not service pet friendly, in fact they are very hostile toward support pets and the disabled. The manager is horrible and disrespectful.

I can't specifically say much about this Meijer to differentiate it from any of the dozen or so Meijers I've been to downstate in the Metro Detroit area ... or the couple by Port Huron ... or the one near Battle Creek, or Kalamazoo?... somewhere on a long drive west going out of state. And I've only been to this Meijer twice but I am so glad the Mighty Meijer is present up here near Traverse City. I spent a couple nights camping at Platte River State Forest Campground at the end of August and this Meijer was crucial to procuring basic necessities in the late evening hours after I'd spent daylight hours doing vacation stuff in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Traverse City. So three cheers for Meijer staying open late and being a gigantic general store for a fly by the seat of his pants vacationer. I hope they get back to 24 hours eventually but as it was they still had all those other sundown stores beat. Here's to the late bird getting the worm.

Hello, This is my first review on Yelp ever that I am aware of.... But I experienced a remarkable act from a employee at the self check out line. Without getting into specifics just know that there was a young man by the name of Edmir * I believe* at the Traverse City Location who went above and beyond when dealing with customer (a single mother in need) . And Edmir demonstrated the type of compassion and empathy that the whole world could use a lot more of right now. I Just wanted to let ya know, as I was struck by his quite professionalism. He didn't offer his help for acknowledgment or fame but instead did so in a discreet manner. If Edmir is not his name he was working self checkout line at 7:30 pm Halloween Night 2021 at TC West.

No Costco gas up here. Stopped by for a fill-up. Gas is $2.79, Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. 12 pumps for regular gas and a diesel pump off to the side. Went inside to grab some fruit, kombucha and tea. They have a huge section for self-checkout, so nice.

Walked in w masks. My wife and I run into my sister. We get together, by ourselves, and my wife and I take our masks down to talk to her. My sister didn't have one in at all. 3 minutes into it some meathead comes and tells us to put our masks up. My sister says she can't wear one. Continues to tell us to put it up. Walks away and then comes back and threatens to escort us out. We said cool, see ya! Won't EVER be back! I know 10k a year isnt much to these snowflakes but I'll be glad to give it elsewhere! Btw, my sister was allowed to stay.

Don't go here if you are trying to be safe from COVID. About 20% of customers maskless, close quarters at the checkouts, no cleaning of the checkouts after maskless people use them, no intervention (not even a gentle reminder or request) by any staff. This Meijer location is demonstrating it does not care for you.

It was 11:52 pm and an employee just closed the doors right in front of me and completely ignored me when I asked her to wait. I got off of work early solely for the fact I needed to stop at meijers and pick up one thing. It would've taken me 2 minutes.

I don't appreciate Young employees making snide remarks partially under their breath but loud enough for me to hear, about customers who don't follow the arrows on the floor!! I've never even seen arrows on the floor and I've been shopping for the last 35 years. And there's almost no one in the store it's 6:30 in the morning to be near.!! I think your employees need a little training on not being rude to customers. I just left my basket and walked out and finished my shopping at Olsen's instead. Shame on you.

Don't use their barber shop. They are manned with freelance "barbers" who clearly don't have any real training and look like their real job is selling fishing equipment or something. They also only take cash which is always suspect. Go to Supercuts or somewhere else.

Biggest store ever with the slowest check outs on the planet. They have everything you'll ever need, but you might be there for nearly two hours shopping. For being huge the food selection is good but not great. Looking for a flank steak. They had none. But the did have lots of prepackaged marinaded skirt steak instead. Just not what I was after.
