The owner was extremely nice and friendly. The food was great. no complaints, hope they open again! I love when I can get jamaica at a restaurant, and she made it fresh for me

Went with my family for some dinner. The service was slow and the food came out missing stuff. When we finally got what we asked for the food was mediocre at best. Saw the staff not doing there job while we were missing food, took us a long time to get their attention as they were talking in a group near the entrance.

Mine is a prehistoric review. From the late 90's. This restaurant and the owner (Rosa or Maria, I do not remember) were trading in nostalgia. Food' was mediocre and prices very high. Back then it was pretty much the only Mexican restaurant in Ypsilanti.

This place has good tacos and the service is always been good when we’re there. There are better taco joints in Ypsilanti, however. But at the same time if you go here you’re gonna really like the tacos that you get. I haven’t tried much else on the menu but as far as tacos girl you’ll get a good plate here.

Very tasty! We came to go to another place to eat but it was closed. I'm so glad we came here! Our server was very kind and helpful of the menu. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We will for sure come back! I got flautas and my boyfriend got a big stuffed burrito. He ate the entire thing.

The food is so good! My partner and I ate here today and were highly impressed. The owner was such a warm and kind woman. I got the bean tamales and my partner got the pork ones. Both were very good and super filling. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food. The chips looked to be store bought but were still good. The salsa was definitely homemade and was some of the best I've had. The horchata was also excellent. The only issue is that some food was out of stock. I was going to get the chicken tamales but she was out for the day. However, the bean ones she served me were still excellent. The food and the service were all around great! :)

We liked it. Kind of down home Mexican food. Quiet place and unassuming. Great food.

Very friendly staff, treat you like a family member. Food is nice and spicy and very reasonably priced. Like Arnold ILL BE BACK.

Worst service, did not get all of our food in our delivery...and wrong drink. The one in carpenter was way better, very missed.

Food is pretty good. I like carne asada plate with beans, rice and flour tortillas, sour cream and pico degallio.

This restaurant is close to Eastern Michigan University and attracts nice people many of whom get to know the owner. She is warm and friendly and has maintained a high standard in the taste and quality of her food over 20+ years. Tonight we had the chips and guacamole plus a pitcher of lime aid to start followed by her tamale dinner. It was delicious: not Tex Mex. Glad to get out of Ann Arbor from time to time and to enjoy a more relaxed pace. Not to worry as Service was pretty efficient especially for a Friday night.

Thank you to the staff for hosting the Girls Pint Out party. The food was really good. The flavors are balanced. Flavorful, not over spiced. The freshly-made salsa has a nice kick. The decor is very tasteful with hand-laid tiles and oak panels.

Best enchiladas in Ypsilanti or Ann Arbor. All homemade and delicious.
