Despite the restaurant being busy, there were only 4 people seated at the bar and the lady working literally threw the menus on the table, and said “you need to show your ID if you want drinks” … we hadn’t had the chance to even say hi yet, so we just got up and left.I do not need any rude people around me while I’m trying to enjoy a drink out.

We had a wonderful time, the waitress was friendly. The birthday song and souvenir glasses add a nice touch for kids and adults. The front store staff could've been a little more attentive on the way out when we purchased toys. There were 4 employees standing talking casually (not work related) and told us we had to wait for someone else to ring us up.Parking: Multiple levels for parkingKid-friendliness: Kids loved the animal and weather sound effects, changing sky scenes and souvenir shop.

This past Saturday I recently went to the rainforest cafe and had such a amazing time specially with our sever Jesus who was really respectful and making sure everything was brought out on time and constantly checking on us to see if my daily needed anything and making food was great. If everyone goes to rainforest make sure you request for Jesus he will make sure you have a wonderful time

We brought a large group of students to the Mall of America location on our tour. Communication beforehand was amazing, food was great and the servers were AMAZING. It all went downhill when we were told that we had to pay an extra $320 that was not originally disclosed. This was not accurate and I went through a long battle to figure out what went on and get reimbursed. The manager on duty was not apologetic, understanding or helpful. He charged me incorrectly and did not even try to say bye as we left. I am very disappointed in the situation, especially after it started off so strong. Not sure we will return on the next tour.

Our service was really bad today. We made a reservation for 1p for a party of 8. We were not seated until 1:20. Which by itself would not spark me to write this review, but it turned out to be the theme for our visit today. Our complete party was there ten minutes prior to our reservation, we checked in and were told we would receive a text when our table was ready. There was a line of people also checking in, or who were walk-ins wanting seats. All of them were seated before us, even those who came after us. At about 1:15 we inquired again and they said our table would be ready for us shortly. It appeared only half the restaurant was open, at peak lunchtime on a Sunday. About 5 minutes later we were seated. The wait staff we had asked us for our drink orders immediately, we hadn’t even looked at a menu yet. For the adults, we could scramble, but it did take us a minute to figure out what they had for the kids to drink. Although, I am not sure what the rush was because we then waited another almost 15 minutes for our server to reappear with the drinks and take our food order. Then the real wait began….It took forever for our food to come out. We noticed people around us arrive, order and get their food while we still waited. Our server nowhere to be seen. Never refilled our drinks, except one glass of water and ignored everyone else. Maybe the water was easy and the sodas or children’s drinks were not? We did not have any alcohol, just waters juice and sodas. Our order was really easy as well. Sandwiches, lasagna, kids foods and a salad. After waiting another 40-45 minutes the food finally arrived. On our reservation we had listed it was one of the kids birthdays. We were just planning on their standard birthday cupcake and their singing fun. I did tell our server we had a birthday and the response I got was to let them know 5 minutes before we wanted it served and they would have it ready. But our server vanished and we never saw them again until we started to get up to leave. You see we again were waiting so long after finishing our food that our group decided to just give up and leave to go to the indoor park with the kids while I stayed to pay for the bill. I am guessing the group all getting up to leave may have signaled to them to then rush over and ask if there was anything else we needed or if we wanted the birthday song now. It it was too late.Typically I am a very generous tipper. Especially for a large group and since I was paying for the entire check as part of the birthday celebration I was planning on giving a large tip. Instead I gave the bare minimum standard and left it at that.Overall, I was very disappointed in the service and the experience at the MOA Rainforest Cafe today.

The wait was over 2.4 hours, 45 minutes longer than expected. Poor hosting management. At least six people at the host stand, and they continuously gave people different information. Shrimp was overcooked. Steak and ribs were good. Waiters need more training. Had to wait too long on server and glasses were empty too many times. After asking for refill or straws had to ask a second time. Ice cream was served in a dirty dish. (Dried Chuck of food)

Food was pretty decent, however the menu was pretty limited and spendy for the type of food. However it is a fun environment for kids! Main downside was they offered us a cupcake for my child’s birthday making it sound like it was included in the meal and then charged us for the cupcake.

It is a unique place. There are lots of sights and sounds. If you get overwhelmed with lots of sensory input, bring ear plugs. The theme is fun and busy. Overall, it was a great meal and a fun experience.

MY FAVORITE AMERICAN:Why Lucas Should Be On Mount Rushmore,I would like to start this one page assignment with a quote from a very good American; but not my favorite American. That American is Abraham Lincoln. He said "When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad I feel bad. That is my religion." That's how, Lucas, The Safari Guide, lives. Abe may as well been talking about Lucas, except my his religion is the Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich. There are many reasons Lucas, The Safari Guide, is my favorite American. Too many to list in this one page. But the best thing about him is he always tries to be the best safari guide, And the best guide to safari. He isn't perfect. But even when he's not, he fixes it, and makes everyone feel perfect. Suchas he switched up his table receipts, so we got the wrong one - its only acouple blocks. But he gave us a souvenir Rainforest Cafe glass cup.In conclusion, Lucas is my favorite American and I love him.(And shoutout Crystal the photographer, we aren’t photogenic but we might as well be with her)
