“This place is one of my favorites to eat at around Lunchtime when its not entirely busy during the weekdays. If you want a quiet environment with good food this is it. I highly suggest coming before the late afternoon lunch rush as it tends to be slower.Whoever is cooking the food does a phenomenal job, along with the onion rings always being crispy. The server was also friendly as well and despite me eating alone and being relatively quiet was super friendly. 100% gonna be a new lunch spot!“
“All the bartenders and servers are awesome! Great food, great service, amazing specialty drinks and relaxing atmosphere. The happy hour specials are great, too. The Five Four Lounge is 21 and older and is a great place to stop in after work for a quick drink or stay for dinner. AND the entire Sammy's menu is available to order in the lounge. Enjoy!“

I also like to sit in the separate dining area and the reservation guarantees I will get to sit there.The wings are some of the best I have had. Especially the Wing of the Moment. They are not afraid to bring some heat so be prepared for that! Fantastic burgers as well. “My expectations were probably too high walking in. The food was good, not as outstanding or as interesting as I would have thought. The grilled sea salt oyster on the way in was tasty. They brought us well prepared chicken, some sushi small bite, and other things I can't remember a month later that were enjoyable. The cake was dry and not worth the calories (or cost). The dietary restriction I indicated was missed but they were able to adjust in the moment. The atmosphere was lovely upstairs. We ate in the covered outdoor area at a shared table.“
“Omg this is a must do!!! They have an Italian Giglio feature right now that is just so awesome. We booked a reservation about a month out which you have to do as it books out quick! You do need to pay in advance which I don't love but also makes sense and makes it easier at the end of the night. We were in the upper part of the restaurant and we just had a blast. Not only was the food fabulous, the service is quick, witty and top notch plus they have events and small moments throughout the evening to make it fun. We did trivia during dinner but they also had music playing and interactive food stations. For this feature the mozzarella and cacio e Pepe from the cheese wheels are to die for. I wanted to eat just that for my entire meal! Highly highly recommend.“

“Every table was full at lunchtime on a Friday and I'm not surprised. The food and service were outstanding.I had a Founders porter and a DJ burger (customized). They let me special order to turn that DJ burger into a Plaza burger a la Annie's in Dinkytown - that's sourcream, raw onion, and pumpernickel. It was delicious, memorable! The porter paired perfectly with the burger. I got fries and they were great too. The place was full but our service was very good. The prices were even reasonable, $13 +/- for a sandwich.“
“Okay well as you see I rated this 4 stars and there is multiple reasons for that. I rated this lower but really it's a 4.5. And that's only because the noise... whenever I go eat there it is so unbelievably loud and I can't hear anyone talking to me so unless you go there in the morning it is really loud. But other than that the food is great and especially the breakfast food the Service is great and the waiters are really friendly one waitresses name is Mickey and she is like a family friend at this point so if you go there in the morning there is a 40% chance you will get her. “Having lived in the area for a few years, my husband found this place recently and was immediately impressed by their staff/customer service, tasty bar food, and the ambiance of just a relaxed, laid back presence. I met him there and quickly agreed! The prices of the bar food cannot be beat and they have meat raffles as well as many other events. The staff were so kind and explained how the VFW works and how they support military personnel and veterans. I will say the entry was confusing as you had to buzz in and wait to enter, then sign but I can understand with it being a VFW, they want to track who comes in and what percent is military personnel/veterans. Would recommend visiting and grabbing a meal and a beer, tasty and affordable! And the staff are always welcoming and happy to chat!“

“This review is for the Lenten fish fry. I have always heard this was the place to go and it definitely didn't disappoint!The set up is a little different in that you buy your ticket and then once they begin serving they call numbers in order - it seemed 10 at a time. Then you'd go into the hall, to the serving window and get your plate of food. There is NO skimping on the amount of fish they give you!! I found it to be a tad bit overdone but I'm sure that depends on who is manning the fryer. I had a baked potato side and some of the best coleslaw I've ever had. Two minor complaints - 1. I'd love a little something sweet at the end of the meal (though I dont think this is common any where anyway), and 2. They had soda for $1 but it was just a small cup poured from a can. I would have expected the entire can. I'm a little unclear if you can bring a drink/alcohol in from the bar. Definitely worth checking out!!“
“A hidden gem can be found inside the Marriott Hotel in Brooklyn Park. The food and service here are top notch! We ordered the wings and requested the Tennessee hot sauce. The sauce had a nice kick and was perfect for our liking! The Brussels sprouts were crispy, and the flavors were unique and delicious. I'm not usually a fan of blue cheese, but the combination of all the seasonings was one of the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had! The ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staff informed us that the steaks are always fresh, never frozen, and I could definitely taste the difference when I took the first bite. The staff were friendly and provided amazing service!“
“I'd been here before but it was a long time ago. A colleague mentioned the wings were so good so we came just for that.Sadly I was not impressed. Just a matter of preference I suppose. I like my wings SUPER crispy - no rubbery skin for me please. I asked for well done. What I got was very well done in spots with rubbery skin everywhere else and very little sauce. Decent enough flavor but I probably wouldn't order them next time. Everything else was fantastic - ambiance, service - absolutely my kind of place.There is a free parking ramp behind the bar which is awesome because there are 2 other bars right there and the street parking fills up fast during prime time.“
“Had brunch at Three Squares Restaurant today and ordered the truffle burger with sweet potato fries. The service was commendable, and my food arrived swiftly within 15 minutes. While the truffle flavor in the burger was a bit subdued for my taste, I still enjoyed the meal. It’s rare to find sweet potato fries these days, and it was a delightful addition. I would suggest introducing a special house dip, perhaps a blend of mayonnaise and ketchup, which pairs excellently with sweet potato fries.“
“Newly remodeled. Ordered the everything pizza (it was just ok), fish and chips were great, and so were the fried mushrooms. Overall, the food was good. We arrived at a peak time and got the last 2 available seats at 6 pm on a Friday (and the last parking spot in the lot). The bartender/server was very attentive and friendly. The fish and mushrooms were excellent and obviously made fresh to order. Being so busy, there was a lag or a bit of a kitchen miscommunication on food being ready, we waited 45 minutes, so a drink was given on the house - very nice. They were having a meat raffle, which was easy to participate in because the person handling it came to our table. The ceiling is high, so the acoustics made it a bit of a challenge to hear my friend talking, so we had to lean in to hear each other. I'd for sure go back because it's in such a convenient spot, and their tap beer selection was pretty good with something for everyone.“
“We were in town for a basketball tournament & a local recommended The Barrel House. There is a lack of parking so we almost didn't go in because there were cars parked everywhere. I called & they said there was no wait. We went into the dining room door first & you basically walk right into people eating, ha! So we turned around and went to the door further down which was the bar side. Worked out great being that's where we'd want to sit anyway! It was seat yourself & we were promptly greeted after sitting down. Our server was very personable. The food arrived quickly. She brought out mine & my husband's & said my sons pancake was almost done but she didn't want our food to get cold. I really appreciated that. When the pancake came out it was still steaming, delicious! We all really enjoyed our food. I had a sausage omlette with hash browns and my husband had a skillet. We will be back!“
