“My review comes from a workers point of view: Saphire is an amazing place to work with amazing people working there. Rayna herself is an absolutely amazing, downhearted woman. She is the owner. She works behind the sushi bar most of the time, she also does literally everything else. It’s honestly amazing to watch sometimes. She treats her employees like family, and her employee treat her like family.(yes I know, I kinda turned it into a review of the owner but she’s there everyday so you gotta like her, her food, her restaurant) but also I don’t think many people know saphire is a independently owned restaurant by one Alaskan women that likes sushi. She works at her restaurant every day. She’s not some big corporate Japanese business. Two of her sushi rolls are named after her kids; it’s a family business.Pay is really good. (Cooks, waiters, bartenders, sushi, expo, host, dishwasher) literally all the positions pay good.It’s a very fast paced jobFood is kept good, kitchen is clean.My reason for leaving had nothing to do with the restaurant. But it will forever be the proudest time of my life. It is so cool to say you work at a sushi restaurant. ?“
